Beloved Catholic priest found slain in California church rectory

It leaves you wondering about the type of world which motivates such deeds.
 
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord
may perpetual light shine upon him
and may he rest in peace Amen

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair

It’s not implausible to think that Fr. committed suicide. I’ve known people who did so and they tend to display an outer, happier facade while battling their own inner demons almost always. I’ll be praying.

What an awful thing to say. I will pray for you.
In any case, a full scale
murder investigation has been launched
and a search for his 2010 Nissan Altima is also
ongoing.
 
It is not awful when you consider that everyone, even priests, have their own personal struggles to go through.
 
Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Let’s not jump to such horrid conclusions, we don’t have enough facts and as of right now, the police are conducting a Homicide investigation, I’m betting they have good reason to do so.

It is implausible and would have known that
if you had cared enough to ascertain facts
before arrogantly and randomly suggesting the
priest committed a capital sin.
How implausible? He commits suicide, then
drives his Nissan to a hidden spot and several
hours later breaks into another catholic church
and begins rummaging through that church?
Is that your idea of plausible?

Thinking before attempting to besmirch the
reputation of a murdered priest would be not only sensible
but considerate of others in grief as well.
