Addressing a service marking the closure of the week of prayer for Christian unity, Pope Benedict lamented “religious indifference and a growing aversion to the Christian faith”.

As the Church grows stronger, there will be more such “aversion”. We can lament that, but also know that Our Lord taught us about what to expect. The more we are attacked, the healthier we will become.

Indifference is another matter. God has many ways of solving that problem – and He will use them.
