This guy is quite the character. I could understand his hostility toward Benedict, if he’s just been reading Turkish press in recent months. But the rest of it seems a little out there.

Forgive Turks because most of them have come to the verge of losing mind like this false Messiah 
The cause of the psychological breakdown most Turks are going through is definitely the long-term vacillation between the almost anti-Islamic revolution carried out by the founder of the Turkish Republic and the devout Muslim Turks still aspiring the golden age of their faith and identity during the Ottoman Empire. Apparently, the false and humorous Messiah supported the ultra-right wing in Turkish politics (he had murdered a famous leftist columnist) long before he blended religious (purely Islamic) sensitivity and fanaticism into his fascist “movement” by assassinating the former Pope.
Nowadays most Turkish minds are in the grasp of Islamic fanaticism, for they blame Europe - especially Papacy - for the decline of the Ottoman Empire, which served more than anything the spread of Mohammed and his religion. The wave of Islamic fanaticism is so powerful in Turkey now that even the partly secular regime is under threat. A recent official poll illustrates that majority of the Turkish population prefer identifying themselves as Muslims rather than as Turks. Thus, Islamic identitiy has already overridden national identity as a result of seeing Turkish national identity as an indispensable but subordinated part of the Islamic idenitity. Finally, most Turks following a moderate way and trying to keep Turkey and Islam separate consider the Turkish army the only force resisting the Islamic pressure striving to take over.
As for Agca and his mental health, what he says demonstrates the general approach of the Islamic civilization to Christianity. I am sure Mohammed would be proud of and support the false Messiah because what Agca is doing now is identical to what Islam’s founder did in terms of stealing a religious figure from his original place for the purpose of manipulating him in Islam. Mohammed bin Abdullah had claimed to be closer to Abraham than Jews; Mehmet Agca claims to be the Islamic Messiah.

Hello Digitonomy,
I think Agca wants to get out of prison and start spending his three or four million (American) dollars he got for signing a book/movie deal. What is three or four million (American) dollars in Turkey? It probubly makes him, living in Turkey, the equvalent of a billionair living in America. All Agca had to do to gain his fortune is to try and kill a Pope.
I remember how Agca said Pope John Paul II was great and his good buddy. No doubt he said this because he thought Pope II could get him out of prison. At the same time Agca said that all the other Catholic Cardinals at the Vatican were the tounge of Satan. No doubt the Pope’s forgiving Agca would have lost its world image greatness had the Pope condemned Agca for his hatful attacks on the Cardinals. No doubt Agca knew this and, to maintain his glorious image in the Muslim world, threw in the verbal attack on Catholic Cardinals.
This guy is not an idiot. This guy is working the Catholic forgiveness system, capitalist media and Muslim hatred for the West, and it is working well for him. Who cares if you look like an idiot to the Western world when you have atained wealth beyond comprehension in your native land, look like a hero to the, kill all Christians, Muslims, and now have your prison sentence being reduced and great potential to have your prison sentence reduced even more. The Church has put pressure on the government of Turkey to set this guy free. Most Turks never recieve the tremendous oportunity to spend twenty years in prison to make three or four million dollars (which is a great deal of money to a Turk).
How does the saying go, Agca is crazy like a fox.
