Hi there JSmitty2005…I think probably your link is the statement by the Holy Father that I have in mind, although I had anticipated it would be a more direct address of Vatican2…so much for expectations:o …dont have time just at the moment to read it with care, but a quick read does seem to indicate that it is the homily expected and from what I read is perhaps rather vaguely but beautifully a comment on Vatican2 which was a pastoral council and The Holy Father on 8.12.05 expressed his comments on the council in the light and context of Our Lady’s discipleship.

The Holy Father went into an analysis of Vatican II, specifically the problems in its implementation, in his speech to the Roman Curia on Dec. 22.

He had a lot of other profound things to say as well, in particular a commentary on JPII’s thoughts on evil and suffering.

Hi there nlh1302…I cannot open the above link, nor does a paste into my browser of the link bring up anything. I would be most interested in reading The Holy Father’s speech to the Curia re Vatican2…can you check the link please and see where things have gone wrong.
