According to Reuters, after closing the only entrance to the festival, a tunnel, in an attempt to better organize the massive crowd, “mass panic” broke out.
It is nice to hear that Pope Benedict XVI remembered those who were involved in this horrific accident. May they rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon them.
