I am so gratified and proud to read such heartfelt words from the Holy Father regarding Haiti and the suffering of its people. He is such a genuine and inspiring Pope. We are very lucky to have someone like him at the head of our Church in these trying times. I am always impressed by Pope Benedict’s steady hand and confident demeaner, regardless of the circumstance confronting him. We should all pray for him and for his health. His is a much needed presence in this world.
