Thank you all.
He is such a holy, holy man. I think that he is a saint.

Its sometimes surprising to me how many saints there really are in the world. Most of them do not get recognized as such, but they are nonetheless. Makes me realize how dreadfully far I have to go.Thank you all.

It is appears to be one of a series on the Monastic Tradition based off of the teachings of Thomas Merton from when he was Novice Master. I’m putting them into my wish list on Amazon and may pick them up later on down the road. The “Cistercian Publications” website has a write up on them in addition to about 15 other books I would love to get.I certainly will, Jason.![]()
I see him on Facebook all the time and get his updates there. His reflections on the Rule are quite good in my opinion.I’m curious if any of you are on Br. Jerome Leo’s mailing list?
He offers the reading from the Rule each day along with a short commentary. What I particularly like is that he gears it toward Oblates and often talks about how to observe it when you’re not living in a monastery, or how to adapt it for life at home or work.

Great picture!Changed my avatar.
Thanks, Jason. Things are going very well. The Opus Dei numerary just signed off on my official request to become an Opus Dei cooperator, which is generally the first step before accepting an Opus Dei vocation as a supernumerary. I fully expect to request admission to Opus Dei as a supernumerary following my retreat to Longlea in December, though many cooperators remain so by choice. Likewise, some supernumeraries revert to cooperator status after years of membership in Opus Dei.We all have our moments.![]()
I’m really glad for you that things seem to be going so well with Opus Dei. I am an admirer of St. Josemaria and have learned a great deal from him, in particular the Scripture commentaries that we discussed earlier, and from the many videos of his which can be found on youtube.
Peace,
I think you should use the BIG picture of St. Benedict in your signature every time.
Against the rules to use one that big.I think you should use the BIG picture of St. Benedict in your signature every time.
