Um, no. I should have specified “hidden knowledge”, with “secret truths” having to do with the supernatural, and allowing those “in the know” to manipulate or control supernatural powers. It has nothing to do with having superior weapons technology
I’m being elusive because I don’t want to stretch the bounds of my confessors advise. In my case, the anti-sacrament’s where two books. One , the necromonican and another about witchcraft. Also ouija and tarots were mentioned. These were confirmed anti-sacraments in persona christi. What is considered the occult will vary from person to person in the subjective and the Church , that I know of, doesn’t have a definitive “list” of what is considered occult, so I’ll leave it to whatever draws away from grace, in the context of pseudo-religious or supernatural practice’s. My main reason and concern of the thread is about an interveiw I heard a few years ago with a satanist and his tactics of recruitment. He bragged how the easiest targets where the religous in christian churches and how he frequented different churches through out the week. Posing as a christian he would start groups and introduce people to study different occult practice’s as a way of preventive identification. This would spark curiosity and lead to , what he called a “fall”. That was his prime objective. The reason, was his belief in a hierarchy of hell and his place in the “mantle” would be elevated as a result of a christians “fall”. I didn’t want to elaborate as to cause anymore curiosity then what it deserves, but wanted to warn others to look into anyone that suggest the same, being fair and unbiased, but cautious. Woe to those who know the inner workings of evil. I post this at the risk of sounding like a nutjob, but just use your head and stay away from the study of the occult. It serves no purpose TimI agree with the above quote 100%, though I still don’t see any connection with generalized occultism one way or the other. Any example of an “anti-sacrament” you can be sure I would be against, but I still don’t see how that reflects on a generalized body of philosophy, hidden or otherwise. Please be more specific.
The simon necromonicon is considered by some to be a translation from the “mad arab” There are about 5 different necromonicons. Most are hoaxes. I have held one in my hands. I figured this would come up. I’m familar with what you are talking about though.
