I’m sure if they go up for communion Pope Francis will give them a blessing and not communion.

I can’t help but feel this was a delibrate move on the part of the president to discredit catholics.

Hope Pope Francis gives Biden & Pelosi proper catechesis, and on why killing babies is bad.

Better not let Biden drive. He’ll be on the wrong side of the road the entire time, and he’ll take a shortcut that’ll land them in Instanbul.

Assuming they even approach him. There are going to be thousands I expect, and even with his fervency, it is going to hard to discern who is who each time unless you pre-target and plan to exclude certain people.

Edit: of course they will approach him. A perfect photo op, and what better way to thumb your nose at people like, well, us, who it grates on, and to God and the Church.

For some reason God is bringing this to the forefront immediately in Pope Francis’ rein.

Personally, I think they want to see what our Pope Francis will do when it comes time to receive Holy Communion.

Can you imagine the glorious statement to everyone in the Church that can be made if our Holy Father denies both of them Holy Communion? 🙂
Yes I truly hope and pray they do not make a spectacle of themselves and represent our country so disgracefully as to march up the aisle for Communion. You KNOW the media will be watching. Their pro abortion position is well known and there are many in the media that wish ill of the Catholic Church.

However, if they do…and they are giving a blessing instead…THAT will be the kind of statement that will make headlines. I think Pope Francis has this kind of backbone based on defying his own country’s President, publically stating such pro abort politicians should NOT receive communion.

I wish there were something I could do about this… I am TRULY disappointed that Rep Boehner didn’t accept the invitiation. I am sure the decline was well intended but look at the unintended consequences.

I don’t think the pope should excommunicate them now but should wait and get a Congressional invitation to speak later.

Then before a joint session of Congress the Pope should excommunicate ALL Catholic office holders who support abortion regardless of party.

He should ask the entire United States of America if Jesus would do an abortion and KILL the unborn child?

He should ask them if it is such a great thing to do–would they teach the killing procedure of abortion to their children?

Some of you out there think that this is over the top but I really do believe it would take extreme over the top acts such as this to get America’s attention!

When you have to teach people WHY KILLING of the unborn is WRONG–then you know how far down into the sewer our nation has fallen.

The worst part is that many of those pro abortion officeholders were elected by votes from people who CLAIM to be Catholic!

Now anybody reading this can tell themselves that I’m wrong or extreme for pointing out the obvious that abortion is wrong.

I’ll tell you this though and you can take this to the bank: support pro abortion officeholders and be unrepentant about doing so until you die and IF you KNOWINGLY do that and know that doing that is a grave matter and do that FREELY with all freedom of the will and then unrepentantly die then GUESS WHAT?

You will burn screaming in dark and foul odored Hell forever!

What part of support for abortion is a MORTAL sin capable of landing someone in Hell do many of the Catholics who voted for pro abortion officeholders not understand?

Pray for Catholics not to support the killing of the unborn.

We can’t kill the unborn in this country forever without any consequences!

We seem to be just like some of the Jews in the Old Testament that the prophets were trying to preach to that couldn’t understand the obvious.

Lord have mercy on us–our country–and the world!

It would be a disgraceful statement. First pro choice doesnt mean pro abortion. Second, every single one of you who goes up to receive communion are sinners with blackened marks on your souls. If he’s gonna deny communion to someone who is pro choice then might as well deny communion to everyone.

.
What’s the choice? To allow a couple to choose an abortion. Hence, the terms mean exactly the same thing, or they mean nothing.

The Church has said that pro abortion candidates can not receive. Simple as that.

Of course, people in the state of sin can not receive. If they repent and confess, then of course they can. And these politicians have obviously not done so.

You make the mistake of not understanding the difference between a PUBLIC proclamation that you support abortion and someone who may or may not be in a state of sin when receiving communion. But since their sin isn’t made public, the Priest accepts their presenting for Communion as a statement they are not in a state of mortal sin.

If Mr Biden or Mrs Pelosi had not been so incredibly vocal in supporting abortion, this would not be such an issue. Get the difference?

Oh and FWIW if you say you are “pro choice” all it means is that you don’t want to admit you support abortion so you hide behind squishy and meaningless terms like this.

If you are “pro-choice” meaning that you support the legality of abortion then to receive the Eucharist is the mortal sin of sacrilege. It is a slap in the face to Jesus Christ and a serious peril to your soul.

No one who supports the legality of abortion may receive Holy Communion.

Everyone seems to be saying that they would be approaching the Pope for communion. Is that necessarily true? Given the size of this Mass, wouldn’t there be a number of priests handing out communion?

Likely. Which is what scares me. They may not be recognized.😦

Thats a disgrace because pro choice does not equate pro abortion. It is a perfectly reasonable stance to believe that it be legal but also desire it to be a rarely used procedure.

According to the Church, yes it does…no matter how much Catholics want to believe otherwise.
