Good for Africa and Asia…

By IB Times Staff Reporter | July 31, 2011 2:56 AM EDT

The world population is expected to breach seven billion this year, which is more than twice the number of people that lived on the earth just 50 years ago, according to recent projections by the United Nations.:clapping:

The population is expected to exceed nine billion by 2050 and 10.1 billion by 2100. For the next forty years, an estimated 2.3 billion more people will be added: 97 percent of the growth will be in developing regions.:dancing:

I don’t know, I don’t know

Where to put all the people, people having sex for the fun, producing even more people, I guess destiny is that people will be put out in space like at Salyut nine space complex. Some may never get to earth, ever, maybe for a vacation if their good. Maybe put all the bad people out there or perhaps the good people with farms and a surreal world, one for republicans, one for Democrats, one for agnostics…

Bigger families are good for the society…You should determine the number of children depending upon your income level…If you have enough income to support more kids , it is advisible to have more children and if you belongs to low income group, it is advisible to limit the number of kids to two or three. All such factors such as education, clothing, food etc should be concidered…
I disagree with this (sorry). 😦

If couples determine the number of kids based on economics, then we sort of end-up right where we are. Many couples today want it: Large house, great cars, two great paying jobs for mom and dad, great expenseive vacations, great expensive toys and fancy parties, etc. In that scenario of deep materialism there is little room for children because children can be costly and having more than one becomes VERY costly.

Certainly I agree that if a couple has no money at all, then they might want to wait until they do. But, in a huge percentage of situations that is not the case…

Couples should have kids (and as many as they can) for:
  1. God, because he commanded us to be fruitful and multiple, which means increase or grow.
  2. For the sake of the kingdom of God.
  3. For the sake of the culture.
  4. For the sake of the Body of Christ.
  5. For the simply joy and blessing of having and raising a family.
It takes a willingness (true authentic willingness) to sacrifice.

I would settle for more families acting like families, taking care of each other rather than dumping every family problem on the ever increasing government.

What if more families sent their children to good schools, even if it meant fewer vacations and less leisure spending?

What if wise parents were heeded when they told their children not to buy more house than they could afford; to pay all their bills on time and maintain good credit; to delay spending on luxury items until they could pay for them?

What if more children grew up in stable, loving, two parent families?

The multi-year, multi-discipline study at Rutgers University known as The Marriage Project found that families with traditional marriage had better mental and physical health, longer lifetimes, higher incomes, more assets, better educational outcomes, lower crime rates, and lower rates of incarceration compared to any other family structure.

Maybe God really did design us for that kind of family.

“What’s that you say? Our planet can’t sustain our voracious, energy-consuming, irresponsibly wasteful and materialistic lifestyles? Quick! Let’s murder our children so we can cradle our precious technological convenience. We can’t possibly live without our ‘Angry Birds’!”

Is this coming from God?

I belive that big family is a blessing to the society, nation and the church.Children are gift of God. Economic factors are also to be concidered for determining the size of the family. It should have enough income to meet the basic needs of the children such as food, clothing ,education etc. But basic requirements does not mean bigger house or a luxury car. A normal house or a small vehicle for traveling is a basic requirement. That’s why I told it is advisable for small families to have an ideal number of children as two or three.

It is the best gift to our child is that give him siblings. It will be a great support to him in future…Remeber one day we want to say good bye to this world and at that time our child should not be alone in this world…Dont limit the number of kid to one . Also it is not advisable to have no children…No body will be there to look after us in our old ages.

Abortion is a sin and a social evil…

It is most important to bring up our children in christian values and faith…If we have more number of kids without christian values , it will be a burden to society

That’s why economies of these Asian and African countries are growing and economies of european and american countries are declining…Markets in Europe and America is shrinking due to decrease in population and Markets in Asia and Africa is increasing as due to increase in population…

can you point to one single example in history where declining birth rates or declining populations were accompanied by economic growth?

No.

And with regard to your language, please at least pretend you can act like a mature adult on these forums, i.e. be respectful, etc.

More children =
  1. More goods needed to care for the babies and children. Which means more jobs for those creating those goods.
  2. More doctors needed.
  3. More teachers needed to teach those kids.
  4. Larger homes to care for those children–more jobs in the real estate market.
  5. Larger vehicles to carry those kids–more jobs created in all auto related industries.
  6. More clothes, toys, food, medicine, and supplies of life that all kids and all people need, which would result in more jobs making those items and in selling those items.
  7. More babies (hopefully) born into a Christian life, thus making the Christian faith expand its base.
  8. More kids going to Catholic schools, helping them stya open.
  9. More families going to Catholic Church.
Beyond the obvious fact that children are a blessing–GOD MANDATED THAT WE BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY, it is really not an option.

Carry on… 🙂
Well said

How many of the 50 million abortion victims would have gone to school? More teachers. How many of them would have bought a car? More manufacturing. How many would have bought a house? More construction. How many of them would have bought more CDs and DVDs? More entertainment dollars spent into the economy. How many of them would have made great contributions to society and the economy?
Well said.

The problem is that most of those things cost money, and if people aren’t sure they’ll be earning enough to pay for the things a child needs, they’re less likely to have more children. I’m sure today’s high unemployment rate is leading many couples to postpone having children.

So I think you might have it backwards: larger families don’t bring more economic prosperity; but rather economic prosperity makes possible larger families.
.

Technology will always be a factor in terms of increasing productivity, but it takes humans to create technology. And new technology creates more jobs. The technology introduced by NASA and the space program, for example, created not only thousands of NASA and private contractor jobs, but thousands of permanent jobs in the private sector. And twenty years ago, there were no web based businesses. Ideally, technology needs a growing population to keep pace with the job creation.
Unfortunately, today many of those technology jobs are being created outside the US.

More Kids More happiness. Big family Happy family.

Which couple is postponing to have the children based on unemployment rate???..

What is un employment??. You can see un employment among those who are waiting for white color jobs…There are lot opportunities in agricultural, fisheries and business fields.

My opinion is that persons of low income can limit the number of children to two or three. And a person who have high income should give birth to more children and it their Greed if they limits the number of children to one or two, even though they have enough resources to bring up more children…And it is a Sin also.

Countries which successfuly controlled the population are now depending upon the workers from other countries to meet their labour requirement…The population growth of such countries are now negative. The population of such countires are ageing. Now there is more old peoples than youth’s in those countries. Ie more number of dependents than productive peoples.

Yeah…I get that having more children to take care of the older population is the way to go…but that’s not feasible in today’s economy. You have to be able to afford having children or more children. I don’t see how having children you can’t afford to feed, clothe and house will be a solution to the economic crisis because it’s only going to add to the crisis when you have to depend on public assistance to make ends meet…

A reasonable money is required to grow up each children…But if we have enough money to meet reasonable needs of the more kids we should give birth to more kids.

One thing is sure, If we have more money and we limit the number of kids to one or two, we will satisfy all his needs and it will in turn we makes him selfish and greedy.

I will point out some examples from daily life.

For example when parent having only one kid, he will purchase a $150 (Very expensive) dress to his child, thinking that he is his only child. While a parent of same income level having three kids may purchase a good dresses of $30 worth three dress (that will totally cost only$90). Ie more money will a parent spend to one kid than a parent have more than one kid.

Also we can see more sharing mentality among the kids of big families than the kids of small families. Respect towards parents and elders is seen more in kids of big families than the kids of small families.

We can see more religious persons from Big families than from small families.

We can see more emotional maturity among the kids of big families. Also kids from big family have more mental power to take risks in life, jobs, business etc. From them we will get a more good manager, leader or a Good business man. While those kids from small families (which are grown up through spoon feeding) shows less emotional maturity and is not willing or lacks courage to take any risks in life. It is a fact. Their self confidence level is low and are seen as more depending on others. They are not self dependent comparing to those grown up in big families.

But it is not advisable for extreme low income parents to give birth to more number of kids. But if any parents from such groups comes forward and gives birth to more number of kids with a courage to take additional financial burden for sake of God , nation and church we should respect those parents. God will definitely bless them.
