How?

God made man, gave him superior attributes that increased his chances of survival, he became the fittest and was naturally selected due to such favored attributes. And thus we live today. Where’s the incompatibility?
As you state: “God made man”. Where in evolutionary theory is this point asserted? When did this event happen. What “superior attributes” did God give man (that evolution did not give)? You show the contradiction here …God gave man attributes, and then man was “naturally selected”. Clearly, your own description proves that evolutionism is incompatible with Catholicism. Actually, what you said is incomprehensible from a scientific viewpoint – very especially from a view that eliminates the role of God and any overlap of the supernatural and natural.

But just to recap … your argument is:

“There is no incompatibility between Catholicism and ‘evolution’.”

Are you willing to assert that no matter what definition of “evolution” is used?

Does the supernatural overlap with the natural? Is matter entirely separate from the spiritual or supernatural aspect (especially of human beings)?
I should add that your argument is also …

“I don’t have an answer to the above questions (or I can’t answer them.”

I hope it would be fair for me to conclude that you see no incompatiblity between Catholicism and evolution as long as you ignore anything that you can’t answer.
