Why do people constantly condemn the Church for it’s stance on birth control but at the same time never say anything about the history of the birth control movement.
Birth control has very racist and classist roots that is often glossed over; for example birth control pioneer Marie Stopes (in the UK) was a firm supporter of eugenics and wanted to use birth control to stop the “undesireables” from breeding, she was often accused of racism and anti-Semitism and sent love letters to Adolf Hitler! She even disinherited her son because he married a woman who wore glasses, in Marie’s eyes the woman wasn’t perfect enough to breed.
Why is this never mentioned in school or the media?
