Bishop: ‘I would hate if people voted No for bigoted, nasty, bullying reasons’

:banghead: Does this surprise anyone? There is a clear message coming from an alarming number of Bishops about this very thing that seems counter to what our holy church teaches?

Some bishops and priests unfortunately have voted yes, I cannot understand why they think this is in no way offending God? City of sodem springs to mind…

Has anyone asked the bishop: Would recognizing and acknowledging the nature of mankind as composed of men and women be a bigoted reason? Would acknowledging the facts of anatomy be a bigoted reason?

May I ask if there is any evidence of this? I’m not questioning the premise, but I’d like to know.

Also, the comments in the article appear to be from an intention standpoint, which is pretty key in determining if sin is present.

I would suggest the contrast is due to more than just a spiritual deficiency. Politics rule the world and have overshadowed even holy and spiritual themes. Everyone needs something to be passionate about and believe in!
