During his homily, Bishop Lagonegro held up one of the iconic Fatima photographs of the crowd estimated at 70,000 people, and pointed to two figures. “This is my uncle, and this is my aunt,” he said
“But when the (three Fatima) children arrived, the rains stopped, the clouds opened and there was the sun,” he said, telling his aunt’s story. “It went up and down and turned back and forth, almost as if it were dancing.”
(At Fatima, Portugal, three children had been seeing visions of the Virgin Mary, events that would be approved by the Catholic Church.)
(The miracle of the sun was an extraordinary miracle witnessed by 70,000 people at Fatima on October 13, 1917, as this was going on. Then for 10 minutes this huge crowd saw the sun dance in the sky and
emit multicolored light and radiant colors, and other surprising things occurred then)
