Bishop contradicts archbishop, says same-sex marriage supporters should receive Communion

Why?

People can disagree with the Church about SSM while not actually contracting SSM’s for themselves.

Since when has it been that a disagreement with what the Church tells others not of our faith to do or not do was a latae sententiae excomunnicable offence?
 
I love Archbishop Vigneron. I went to Sacred Heart Seminary for a few classes when he was rector there, and got to hear him give many homilies at daily Mass. He’s a good man who loves everyone as Christ did. He’s not afraid to proclaim the truth with love.

Bishop Gumbleton is, as Fr. John Hardon would likely put it, “confused.” Only wisdom can teach us what true charity is. To support same-sex unions works against charity as it works against truth. Let’s keep him in prayer.
