The need to defend citizens’ rights of conscience is the most critical issue before our country right now,” said Bishop William Lori of Bridgeport, Connecticut who is the chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on Religious Liberty of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
God bless Biship Lori, and the Ad Hoc Committee for standing up to this tyranny. As he said, “We will continue our strong defense of conscience rights through all available legal means. Religious freedom is at the heart of democracy and rooted in the dignity of every human person.”
God bless Carol Tobias, National Right to Life president, for challenging the Obama administration. And my prayers go out for Mother Mary Assumpta Long, O.P and the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, for their stance, and remarks…“In short, not only does the Administration not comprehend Catholic moral reasoning and the full-meaning of the principle of religious liberty, it does not even understand the basic economics of health-care insurance.”
The Chuch leaders who are rising up to defend religious liberty are doing a wonderful job.
