Vern I know this was not aimed at me but I had to add my 2cents worth.
Would you have a problem with a bishop deciding there is more potential damage due to not sacrificing to pagan gods? Vern I believe that we are sacrificing our children to the pagen gods and some Bishops are turning a blind eye to the situation in the name of inclusion.

The ancient tradition of the Church is no compromise with evil. It took us from a tiny, persecuted sect to truly Catholic church. Are we now to abandon that principle? I pray daily for the return of a faith that does not compromise. /quote]

When? When did the American Catholic Bishops clearly say that anyone who publicly advocates or supports abortion or the “pro-choice” position cannot licity receive communion?

When did priests read that pronouncement from the pulpit?

Then there should be no harm at all for the Bishops to publicly state abortion is murder and no Catholic who publicly advocates or supports a pro-choice position can licitly receive communion.
The end result of this is that those that receive unworthily have been warned and the sine becomes theirs only. IMHO as it stands now those in charge Bishops, priests etc now share the sin with them.

Catholic pro-abortion politicians seem to me to be people who gain the whole world and lose their soul.
Is it really worth being an important person if that is the price?
In my opinion no. Yet many want the adoration of other people and/or the power that goes with it. The price they might pay for all of eternity is quite high but temptation is strong when faith is weak.
