Fire Obama. Allow Romney to appoint pro-life justices. Overturn Roe v Wade.

Now there is some real good. šŸ‘
Romney? You mean the man who is not anticipating any legislation regarding abortion rights?

Don’t get you started? How does it work: Bush was not responsible for the near-depression, but Obama determines the price at the pump? So if you’re not Obama, you’re not to blame for what happens on your watch but if you’re Obama you bear responsibility for what you did, what you failed to do and what the conspiracy theorists dream up about you? What can I say? Such reasoning processes are very intriguing…
Obama’s anti energy policies, increasing regulations, war on coal and fracking have restricted development which would result in increased supply.

While President Bush had a role in the real estate meltdown as Ridgerunner noted by not really pushing for reform of Freddy and Fanny, the crash occurred four years ago. You cannot continue to blame Bush forever.

You also failed to address Obama’s agenda that resulted in billions going to his cronies and supporters in the green energy biz. How 'bout that one? How many poor people could have received help with the billions given to Solyndra and the rest of that motley crew?

Tell me what Obama has done for the poor except create more of them?

The second Epistle of Saint Peter; Ch 2
ā€œ[1] But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be among you lying teachers, who shall bring in sects of perdition, and deny the Lord who bought them: bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
[2] And many shall follow their riotousnesses, through whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
[3] And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you. Whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their perdition slumbereth not.
[4] For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but delivered them, drawn down by infernal ropes to the lower hell, unto torments, to be reserved unto judgment:
[5] And spared not the original world, but preserved Noe, the eighth person, the preacher of justice, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.
[6] And reducing the cities of the Sodomites, and of the Gomorrhites, into ashes, condemned them to be overthrown, making them an example to those that should after act wickedly.
[7] And delivered just Lot, oppressed by the injustice and lewd conversation of the wicked. [8] For in sight and hearing he was just: dwelling among them, who from day to day vexed the just soul with unjust works.
[9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly from temptation, but to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be tormented.
[10] And especially them who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government, audacious, self willed, they fear not to bring in sects, blaspheming.
[11] Whereas angels who are greater in strength and power, bring not against themselves a railing judgment.
[12] But these men, as irrational beasts, naturally tending to the snare and to destruction, blaspheming those things which they know not, shall perish in their corruption,
[13] Receiving the reward of their injustice, counting for a pleasure the delights of a day: stains and spots, sporting themselves to excess, rioting in their feasts with you:
[14] Having eyes full of adultery and of sin that ceaseth not: alluring unstable souls, having their heart exercised with covetousness, children of malediction:
[15] Leaving the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam of Bosor, who loved the wages of iniquity,
[16] But had a check of his madness, the dumb beast used to the yoke, which speaking with man’s voice, forbade the folly of the prophet.
[17] These are fountains without water, and clouds tossed with whirlwinds, to whom the mist of darkness is reserved.
[18] For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:
[19] Promising them liberty, whereas they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom a man is overcome, of the same also he is the slave.
[20] For if, flying from the pollutions of the world, through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they be again entangled in them and overcome: their latter state is become unto them worse than the former.
[21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of justice, than after they have known it, to turn back from that holy commandment which was delivered to them. [22] For, that of the true proverb has happened to them: The dog is returned to his vomit: and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.ā€

I will sleep much better by not having to explain to My Lord one day why i voted for someone who endorses and condones the murder of Children. NO social issue trumps the murder of innocent children. NONE!

Indeed republicans seem to have a horrible memory about the plugue that Bush was.

You’re turning purple from Kool-Aid intoxication! The fact is that YOU believe in a total fraud who befriends terrorists, racists and assorted thugs. Guys like you are killing the golden goose, and your posterity will pay for it for generations. After tomorrow, it will be too late. You will never awaken from the nightmare you will have helped cause if Obama is smiling tomorrow night. 😦 Rob

Yet you believe the Democrats, but not the Republicans?
I don’t much care for talking points one way or the next but real actions, such as widening access to health care, or being merciful to kids who had no part in their parents crossing the border, or improving the ability to access one of history’s great elevators of mankind’s condition (namely, education)…those things win my support.

On social issues, politicians tend to say whatever garners the most votes for them. That’s just how it is.

I wasn’t aware that court appointments were legislation. Is this something new?
You’re right. Thanks for pointing out that he didn’t mention appointing pro-life judges the last time I heard him answer a question on abortion.

As for the idea of handing abortion over to the SC, I see that as the quintessential politician cop-out.

Lisa, I truly believe that some people would rather win a temporary argument in their minds than accept the fact that they have screwed up badly. This is a generic statement, but the tragedy brought by a defeat tomorrow night will NEVER end. :imsorry: God bless, Rob

I agree. Every time we think it’s the most important election of our time. But this time it’s clear we either take back America or let our country be turned into a bad version of Europe.

God bless and pray for America’s deliverance from the evil of abortion.

Seekerz, are you a government employee? You seem very smug and self-righteous, and impervious to the horrors that many other members are now facing. :ehh: Rob

Anti-energy policies? If they can increase production like it has increased then I say, here’s to 4 more years of such policies… You do know that the price of oil is impacted by market speculation, no? Neither Bush nor Obama controlled that. It’s not a simple demand-supply formula, but of course we knew that under Bush - Obama on the other hand holds the switch to everything that could possibly go wrong in the world…

Ah, require coverage for pre-existing conditions, but do nothing to control costs (probably the biggest barrier to coverage). Force the states to expand Medicaid, but fail to provide the funds to pay for it. Take over the student loan program, but fail to do anything to control rising tuition and fees.

But let’s say I’m wrong, and you are right. Even these accomplishments are minuscule compared to the damage he has done with regard to the right to life and religious liberty. Just the possibility that Romney is better than Obama is reason enough to give Romney the nod.

I posted this the last election cycle, but it bears repeating.

The best case is that Obama does nothing to change the status quo on abortion, gay ā€œmarriageā€, and religious liberty.
The worst case is that Romney does nothing to change the status quo on abortion, gay ā€œmarriageā€, and religious liberty.

Now, do you expect the best or the worst from politicians?
On social issues, politicians tend to say whatever garners the most votes for them. That’s just how it is.
Indeed, it seems Obama is doing–and has done–the very same thing you accuse Romney of doing. He talked a big game about immigration reform, but what has he done? He had complete control of the federal government for 2 years, and did nothing on immigration reform. He promised better access to higher education, but did nothing to bring down costs. By this standard, his words are just as empty as you think Romney’s are.

That’s why I go by actions…I give qualified approval to most of Obama’s major accomplishments - OTOH I have serious questions about the character and nature of Romney the Businessman and the possible effects on the most vulnerable among us. I would have been willing to give Romney full marks for Romneycare, but he seems to be torn between disavowing and supporting it, so he gets a 0 on that score. That’s just how I see it.

Are not the most vulnerable the unborn? And you think ā€œRomney the Businessmanā€ is a greater threat to the unborn than Obama?

And health care outweighs abortion? A Romney 0 on health care reform outweighs an Obama 0 on abortion?

What are you talking about? The same ā€˜collapse’ that had McCain suspending his CAMPAIGN against Obama to rush to Washington? That was caused by Obama? So what was Bush doing in the WH if Obama/the Democrats were running the country?

I’ve already wept at the injustice and greed of man to man - nothing that happens tomorrow could make that weeping worse. The sky won’t fall - trust me.

Oh, BTW, the name is Wright and Obama repudiated his views if I remember correctly though the timing was suspect. What did Romney repudiate re- what were we called…the lamanists?
McCain was and is an idiot, who still should have beaten this race-baiting punk. My point is that the collapse was due to DEMOCRATS, not Bush. Bush tried to stem the bad loans forced by Democrats, but folded after being called racist time after time. Look. Your guy is a contemptible sleaze, and you know it. It is shameful to defend him in light of his associations and destructive policies. If I had a pastor who excused sick, reprehensible friendships of a candidate for political reasons, I’d find another church. That’s all. I can no longer deal with total irrationality. :doh2: Rob
