Wollongong’s Bishop Peter Ingham will tomorrow bless a new icon of Mary MacKillop at the diocese’s St Francis Xavier Cathedral, as preparations continue in Rome for the canonisation ceremony.

Wollongong’s Bishop Peter Ingham will tomorrow bless a new icon of Mary MacKillop at the diocese’s St Francis Xavier Cathedral, as preparations continue in Rome for the canonisation ceremony.
And they continue to refer to her as “Mary MacKillop”, rather than as “Blessed Mary of The Cross”, or “Saint Mary of The Cross”.
Why are they so ashamed to give this saint her proper and well deserved title?
A third miracle is required: her urgent intercession to renew the Order which she founded.
For years the Josephites have displayed a photograph of one of Blessed Marys cousins, who looks nothing like her, claiming its in fact a photo of the saint. Why? Because the cousin (obviously) isnt dressed in nuns garb? Neither are today`s Josephites!
Etc.
