Sounds like they are using a little common sense to me. It’s nice to see Bishops stick firmly to the faith.

But, I am confused. I thought this already passed. This article makes it seem as if it has been halted.

No, SSM was passed in Ireland, in May, or the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland is under British rule but has its’ own assembly that legislates on in-country matters.

It was halted by the Democratic Unionist Party who used a petition of concern which killed the law. It can be used anytime if one of the major parties believe that a law does not have cross community support. So even if the law passes by majority vote it can be stopped.
 
I hope no one is going to go down the route of suggesting that the DUP are good news lol lol lol
