It’s been months… I’m not sure there will be a trial.

The Pope may be content to leave McCarrick in that monastery.

If there is going to be a regular Canonical Trial on the Mc Carrick case, . . . .

The way it looks to me (at least so far)?

There never will be a real substantive trial regarding Bishop McCarrick.

Why?

It looks like . . .

There will be a few committees set up to study a possible trial. . . .

. . . Then they will set up a commission. . . .

. . . .Then they will ask (selective) laity for (name removed by moderator)ut regarding IF a trial should be held at all. . . .

. . . Then we will need discussion of . . . if we even have a trial should it be public, or if it should be private and classified . . .

. . . Committees will be needed to discuss conditions and precise language of course needs to be adopted . . .

. . . Etc. etc. etc.

In other words “stall”.

At least that is what this is starting to look like.

(A glance at the title of this thread even suggests this is going to be the case.)
