Please examine the reasoning for the ethical rule. The media outlet cited in this thread violated journalistic ethics. That’s very clear whether you like the standards or not.

The only reason for that rule is to cover up the fact that blacks commit violent crimes at a rate that is disproportionate to their share of the population. That is why we get headlines involving the crimes committed by “youths” and “teens”. Of course using those words is ageist and invokes stereotypes about young people but it keeps the leftist narrative about race intact so that is okay.

Hmmm … That’s a new theory on the background to the rule.

But you admit that it exists and I guess you admit that the article violates the rule. Then you compound the violation by repeating it in the head on this thread. You see my point.

My guess is the shooting will be blamed on mental illness. It really could be as simple as the kid riding into his yard.

Personally, I believe if one of the majors ran it nationally, the others would claim the network to be racist.
 
The local police have released their report. But it contains no more additional information. Since the report was released, a few more news outlets have picked up on the story.

As mentioned, if it was a white man shooting a black child, it would be covered in the media 24/7 for weeks if not months. Mentioning the race of the killer and victim here is race baiting. Erm.

Featuring it in a headline and turning a murder into a racial incident? Yes, that’s race-baiting and out of bounds. It is unethical in journalism and inappropriate for this forum.

What was personal about it? You said that the title of this thread is race baiting. I believe the mainstream race bait all the time, as do BLM, as does Rev Sharpton and many others. I was wondering if you agreed that they also race bait.

Turn on MSNBC, especially on the weekend, it’s wall to wall race baiting. CNN is not far behind.

A child of 4 was killed at point blank range in front of his sisters by a MONSTER.

How is this not news worthy??
