Lord Jesus was crucified. This is torture. It is one of the very worst kinds of torture. The pain of it is absolutely unbelievable.Yet some people can actually INSULT him!THEY wouldn’t want to be crucified! They wouldnt be able to bear it!They would scream in agony! And yet they can insult this man who never hurt anybody, helped everyone, and then WAS crucified.Jesus died in agony, even though he never did anything wrong. And some people who do lots of wrong things and who wouldnt want to be crucified can actually insult him!IS THIS JUSTICE??No, it is NOT.It is the most unfair thing in the world.I cannot put up with it.I hear blasphemy all day at school, and I cant stand it,and sometimes I think I would like to kill these people. Why do people blaspheme? Its not fair!        I dont know if you can understand this-If you are not exposed to blasphemy, and if you live more by faith in God then by the desire for justice for him, then you probably can’t, but I just want to show everyone how horrible and unfair it is.When I hear horrible blasphemy,it makes my soul feel strange.I wish God would hurry up and do something about it.

Act as Christ Himself did when He was blasphemed–with all patience and love. He bore it all for love of those who were blaspheming.

Likewise, act as Holy Mary did. Suffer with Him like she did at the foot of the Cross, making reparations in her heart for the tortures inflicted on His.

Pray for your enemies and treat them with all love and kindness, and you will heap hot coals upon their heads.

Thank you for that excellent advice…I try to be like that, but sometimes its really difficult.I will continue to pray for them.

Just remember Christ didn’t conquer death and evil through “justice.” He conqured through love which was his weapon. That love outweighed the physical pain of being tortured on a cross and I am sure his love outweighs the blaspheme.

He loves them and so should you. Don’t be angry. Just pray for them.

I TOLD you you might not understand.Hardly anybody does:( I cannot help being angry.I hate injustice with a vengence.I want to quench blasphemy. It makes me really mad and bothers my soul.Justice is the most important virtue in the world.

Pray for those who blaspheme Him, and pray the Divine Praises as an act of repairation:

The Divine Praises

Blessed be God.
Blessed be His Holy Name.
Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true man.
Blessed be the name of Jesus.
Blessed be His Most Sacred Heart.
Blessed be Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the paraclete.
Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most holy.
Blessed be her holy and Immaculate Conception.
Blessed be her glorious Assumption.
Blessed be the name of Mary, Virgin and Mother.
Blessed be Saint Joseph, her most chaste spouse.
Blessed be God in His angels and in His Saints.

May the heart of Jesus, in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world, even to the end of time. Amen.

Vengeance is for the Lord. Justice will be served by the Just Judge. But now is the time of Mercy, where we are given the opportunity to repent–and so are others.

It is difficult to be patience in these times. One thing that might help is developing a good self-knowledge (this is the advice of St. Catherine of Siena for this very difficulty). We have all committed grave sins. Each of us has driven the nails through our Lord. We’ve all spit on His love. We’ve all been slaves of error, darkness, and sin. And we have been freed, not of our own doing, but by the love and grace of Jesus Christ. We were ourselves converted by His mercy and love, and not vengeance–and this mercy and love was shown to us by other disciples of Christ–whether it be our parents, friends, priests, or even the saints and other people we may read about.

When we realize where we have come from, how we’ve gotten here, and where we still need to do, we will feel pity for sinners–even blasphemers-- instead of wrath and we will seek to melt their hearts with the loving fire of the Holy Spirit. I hope that helps.

Someone i’ve read would disagree that justice is the greatest virtue. hmmm. who was it?
1 Corinthians
Chapter 13

**** When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known. So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the** greatest of these is love.**

Love is the greatest virtue, and Jesus asks us to love others who do wrong and sin. We must pray for holiness for ourselves and others. I find praying the Rosary, visiting the Blessed Sacrament, receiving sacraments to give great peace in time of troubles.

Blessings

Peace my friend.

It’s not that I don’t understand. I am trying to help you. God doesn’t want us to feel such anger toward our brothers and sisters as in the quote “You should hate the sin not the sinner.” although I don’t know who said it.

Justice might be the most important virtue in the world but love is the most important virtue in heaven.

Why not make the sign of the Cross and pray “Blessed be the Name of the Lord” everytime you hear blasphemy? And The Golden Arrow Prayer is also very good to pray in Reparation for this sin.

When I hear horrible blasphemy,it makes my soul feel strange.I wish God would hurry up and do something about it.
Jesus promised that we would be hated on account of His name. Rejoice that you are considered worthy to suffer for His name’s sake. This brings up point two: we must pray for those who persecute us. These forums have shown the value of prayer. We argue, explain, reveal, demonstrate and type 'til we’re blue in the fingers and those (fill in denomination here) just won’t listen!!!

Prayer. We are fallible and weak. Those in darkness cannot resist the power of God unleashed through prayer.

Christ’s PEACE be with you always.

You are wrong. LOVE is the greatest virtue!

Bravo…great answer! My daughter had the same complaints when she heard the Lord’s name used in vain…she said that she made the Sign of the Cross…and soon her co workers stopped.
Here is the Golden Arrow Prayer:
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most mysterious and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified, in heaven, on earth and under the earth, and by the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ in the most Holy Sacrament of the altar.]
This prayer was revealed by Our Lord to a Carmelite Nun of Tours France in 1843 as a reparation for blasphemy. “This Golden Arrow will wound My Heart delightfully”, He said, and heal the wound inflicted by blasphemy.

Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.

Those you get angry with, may be closser to the kingdom of God than you are, because their sin is often committed out of ignorance, where your anger towad them is not.

Learn to forgive others as you would want to be forgiven.

Those that blaspheme the Savior are listening to a voice from BELOW. They are in the snare of Satan. You should pray for their deliverance.

Lord Jesus was crucified.
Christ himself was in agony.

No, not most of us could bear it.
We must be as disciples, ready to bear the ultimate act of love, if it is presented to us. We fear not death.

And yet they can insult this man who never hurt anybody, helped everyone, and then WAS crucified.

Who would this be? If you speak of those who are not Christian, I advise you step back, and ponder God’s providence.
Jesus died in agony, even though he never did anything wrong.
And, Jesus being God, could do no wrong. Jesus did not die because he did wrong.
And some people who do lots of wrong things and who wouldnt want to be crucified can actually insult him!
Jesus was insulted then, and is now. What is so surprising about this?
IS THIS JUSTICE??No, it is NOT.It is the most unfair thing in the world.I cannot put up with it.I
You dont have to put up with it.
You merely have to believe in Him, What is the problem here?
hear blasphemy all day at school, and I cant stand it,and sometimes I think I would like to kill these people
.

Anger management may be for you.
Killing lives Jesus Christ Loves?
Okay. This is a good thing?
Why do people blaspheme?I
Why was there Satan or Judas?
ts not fair!      :mad
:

Tell it to God.
 I dont know if you can understand this
so far I do, what have you left out?
-If you are not exposed to blasphemy, and if you live more by faith in God then by the desire for justice for him,
I live by God’s will not my own, Our Lady did so. We can learn so much from her selfless love. One without any agenda.
then you probably can’t, but I just want to show everyone how horrible and unfair it is.When I hear horrible blasphemy,it makes my soul feel strange.I wish God would hurry up and do something about it.

Fantastic! I am glad you decided to pray and seek God’s will for you now at this time.

I ask that you merely seek Him out in prayer and discern if this is his will.
To hurry up for you on this matter.

Let us know how it goes.

Can you actually separate love from justice?

Christ’s peace.
All good stems from love. Justice in itself is not a virtue. In fact in the legal system justice does not require love at all. It simply requires evidence.

I believe that love and justice are inextricably intertwined. Love remains the virtue. Love produces justice just as justice is the fruit of love. We have a court system, not a justice system. That is probably why divorce was not intended by God, and why Christ implored us to settle with our brother while on the way to court.

Christ’s peace be with you.
