Yes, a truely blessed and happy Paska!!!

I’m going to try to get to St.Nick’s tonight depending on the weather here…

I hope the Uzhorod group is having a better time today… looks JMT put the “whammy” on that tour…

Happy Easter to you guys. Its weird because Easter for us Roman Catholics was over a month ago!🤷

Many Orthodox are celebrating late this evening (or, throughout the early morning).

Indeed. But, it’s not late evening yet. (At least here it’s not; I bet Fr. Ambrose is just finishing up Liturgy :p)

There is a lot of preparation that goes into it. People are busy getting food ready for the Pacha feast, which is tonight. So, it’s better to wish everyone a blessed pascha while people still have a few minutes to look online. 🙂

Christ is risen! Indeed, He is risen! We just finished Liturgy today (it is early morning here for us as I write this–almost 3am actually).

Blessed Pascha to all my Eastern Catholic and Orthodox brothers and sisters! God bless you. 🙂

   Why such a personal vendetta against JMT? The thread was wishing those on the old calendar a blessed Pascha.

And I did the same and I gave some news to UC the OP… do you have a problem with that???

I thought Eastern Catholics still celebrate the Pascha on the same day as Easter with the Roman Catholics

A lot depends on where they live.

For Ruthenian Catholics living in the US and Slovakia, they celebrate on the Gregorian calendar.

The vast majority of Ukrianian Catholics living in the US and Canada follow the Gregorian calendar as well.

You do have a small group who follow the Julian calendar in the US and Canada.

In Ukraine, they all follow the Julian calendar.

Others who are living in Rome, for example, follow the Gregorian calendar but the ones in London follow the Julian calendar.

So it depends on where they live…

hope this helps…
