This is in my town of Eugene, Oregon.
Here is my analysis (Taken from my facebook comments! I didn’t want to write it all again!)

My analysis is that its a prank. This particular area is of no threat to any of the outside governmental policies (Communism, radicalism, etc)
So its highly unlikely that it’d be an actual terrorist threat. But since those schools, being Catholic and definitely against such government and moral policies, would be the ones targeted.
However, there was a bank that was bombed in Oregon recently. But the criminal who orchestrated the bombings was arrested. So its unlikely that its the same person. I have not heard of any evidence supporting the idea of that bomber belonging to a group. If he did belong to a group, they might be prejudiced against Catholics.

The next option is another unknown group or person, that is anti-Catholic.

Finally, there is the prank. This is especially likely in this area, since it is so intolerant of Catholics. My guess is its either a student, or a parent. More likely student. Especially since finals are coming up (Right?)
That may give a student more time to prepare.
Also, it could just be a student who is forced to go to that school.
They should find out who it was soon. Checking the location of where the calls were made, as well as possibly forensic evidence from the notes.

Even though it might be a prank, the police need to take this very seriously

These are my impressions after the more recent threats

It appears there have been more threats. The FBI and police aren’t releasing much more information than that. Though I did find some more useful information that I wish they had mentioned earlier. The threats before were left as messages on the schools’ answer machines…Which means it happened in the middle of the night, or very early morning. They are also definitely targeting religious institutions.
I don’t think that this is some “die Hard with a Vengeance” plot…I just think its some anti-religious nut. Mostly likely a student. His targeting is erratic, and not confined to one religious group. Its like whoever it was made threats on Catholic facilities, then realized that someone might catch on to him because he’s openly anti-Catholic. So he threw in the Lutheran place, too. Also, the fact that TWO schools were threatened may say that he was smart enough to TRY to cast suspicion off of Marist High school students

I just wish that I could do more to help solve this. But I guess I don’t have the authority to go off investigating this on my own…

Copycats, I’ll bet. Here, whenever there’s a bomb threat anywhere, you can be there’ll be a wave of bomb threats throughout the state. You know, one town does it, and some smart guy sees it in the paper and says, “Ooh…I can get out of math!” and calls in a threat or scribbles something on a mirror.

One school got six bomb threats in three weeks. Turns out it was a fifth grader trying to get out of class.

I certainly hope that it is not a true threat. Unfortunately you can’t be sure. Woodburn, Oregon knows this well. A fake bomb was placed at one bank and a threat called in. A real bomb was left at the bank next door. The bomb squad came, assumed the second was fake, two officers died and the police chief seriously injured. There are a lot of angry people out there.

Yeah, I heard that happened and factored it into my theories.

But the case has been solved apparently! And it looks like I was right iny my analysis!

There were TWO students who were cousins.
They were having trouble with school (finals may have been a factor) and they made all of the threats. One went to Marist High School, and the other went to O’hara. My guess is I was right about them trying to cast suspicion off themselves by calling a Lutheran church, too.

Heheheh, I’m kinda giddy right now for having figured that out.
