Ok, first of all, I am NOT thinking of bombing one! So lets just make that clear! I was just wondering if it is wrong for someone to blow up a clinic if there was no people inside? If there was a complete gurantee no one would be hurt. Would that be justifiable in the eyes of God? Blowing up a clinic so that they can’t abort babies there. I know they can always rebuild or re-open another one down the road. Is it justifiable though? Like some wars are justifiable when ingredious evil is taking place? Also is a revolution against the pro-choice movement justifiable? I recently heard there are actually more pro-lifers than pro-choicers, so how than exactly…is abortion legal? Wouldn’t there be such an uprising against this that it would start a revolution?

Personal opinion only:

If nobody was going to be hurt, then I see nothing wrong with the destruction of an abortion mill, by whatever means available.

People who bomb abortion clinics and shoot doctors who perform abortions, besides committing a serious crime also hurt the pro-life movement. When someone does one of these crimes, the word Christian and terrorist gets put together and in the eyes of the general public we are no better than the other terrorists out there. The tide of public opinion is slowly shifting in the in favor of life, lets pray that it continues in that direction!

Wrong. Destruction of private property is never right. Also even if no one was in the building there is no way to ensure that the general public might be hurt. Then there are the first responders, the police and fire fighters, who would risk their lives.

Simply put, the ends never justify the means.

Violence against the abortion mills would only make them martyrs. We do not want that.

Agreed, and two wrongs don't make a right. People don't have enough faith in the Power of Prayer. I know of people that did take such actions and others that condoned them. None of them are in good places now spiritualy. Some who promoted this sort of thing seem to be possessed just like the group that promotes this horrible practice. You can't beat the devil by doing devilish things. Study the temptations that Christ went through in the desert. There were three. If one can understand these temptations one can see we face the same each day. One can't raise the holiness around them by sin.

Practice your faith and make a holy Lenten season. Unite yourself with Jesus Christ. Study Holy Scripture. And make certain that people vote. God is perfectly capable of handling this mess but we have to give it to Him in prayer. This is a prayer, a holy person wrote. They endure many assaults of the devil, almost like St. Padre Pio.

   PRAYER FOR PROTECTION FROM DEMONS
Dearest Holy Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
The enemy attacks me physically, mentally, socially,
legally, spiritually, professionally, psychologically,
interpersonally and in ways I don’t even realize. He is
hurting me Lord, hurting my loved ones, those around me,
my relationships and my possessions at every turn. So often
I don’t even recognize his works until damage is done. I am
in pain Lord in more ways than I am able to put into words.
The enemy is relentless and I am so very tired.

I cry out to you oh Lord. I cry out to you with my voice,
my heart, my soul, my spirit, with every muscle and tendon
and all of my being cries out to you. Through every pain,
every emotion and every unhealed hurt and with every tear
I cry out to you. I cry out to you with all my strength and
yearning aching for forgiveness and mercy. Save me from this
evil Lord. Deliver me from their midst. Take them away from
me and grant me peace.

Jesus, will you pour out your precious blood for my poor
soul this moment and cover me? Please cover me, my surroundings
and all that I own and claim me as yours. I give myself to you,
every breath and every word.

Virgin Mary – Queen of the Angels,
I implore your intersession and humbly ask you to
send down your most Holy Angels, from the same Choir
as those who attack me, to drive the demons far away
from me and for them to be taken to the feet of your son
for Him to deal with them as He wills.

I ask all of this in the Name of He who has come to
the world for us because He loves us, Jesus Christ.

Amen

Prayer and living your life in submission to Jesus Christ is the only Way to Heaven.
This is a great temptation to do a little evil then believe some good will come of it.

no it is never justifiable to do evil even with what seems like a good motive. btw there is NEVER a guarantee no one would be hurt. Such an action would also do vast harm to the pro-life movement and set back progress immensely, so would also be gravely wrong for that reason. And third, no, that crime would do nothing to stop abortion so would be gravely stupid as well as gravely sinful. IMO stupidity is the 8th deadly sin and such tactics are the epitome of stooopid

Destruction of private property is sinful as another person said. And besides, although the ultimate aim would be to end abortions occurring there, terrorism is also a sin and bombing any sort of business regardless of whether the business was moral or not would be terrorism.

This is just “NEVER” the solution. You protest through peace and become the voice of the majority and unheard.

Appeal to Moral, Right and Good which is life. There’s is always a correct alternative to abortion. And abortion in never the right answer. Its a mistake compounded by a mistake. And to use violence to any degree just adds another mistake to the mess. Good people become placed in harms way.

Violence is a tool of the ignorant.👍

I Don’t think you are understanding what I am saying. I am saying, suppose no one gets hurt. The only thing destroyed is the clinic, no one is inside. We are talking about a place that potentially could not only be killing babies by systematically ripping them apart in the womb, but also killing them if they are born alive and escape the doctors abortion procedure. Is it wrong, to bomb a clinic, to destroy a clinic…if no one gets hurt?

ok I understand everyones opinion, but then how are there things like justifiable wars? Why do you say its not okay to bomb a clinic even if no one gets hurt, but its okay to go to war and fight against lets say the nazis and bomb their buildings and kill them because we were trying to protect the jews. I don’t agree what so ever with people killing abortion doctors, because I have heard many stories of partial birth abortion doctors having a full conversion and doing much good in the pro life movement. I am trying to figure out the difference between justifiable and unjustifiable wars. As I said I heard somewhere, maybe on like EWTN that there are actually MORE pro lifers than pro choicers in america. I just dont understand how this goes on, I guess the goverment has more control over us than we think?

I never said shoot a doctor or hurt anyone

Even if no one got hurt (which I do not know how you would ensure) it is still wrong. It is against the law for one thing. Also people have a right to private property. Most likely the building is leased to the clinic.

From the Catechism of the Catholic Church;
1789 Some rules apply in every case:
  • One may never do evil so that good may result from it;
  • the Golden Rule: “Whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them.”
  • charity always proceeds by way of respect for one’s neighbor and his conscience: “Thus sinning against your brethren and wounding their conscience . . . you sin against Christ.” Therefore "it is right not to . . . do anything that makes your brother stumble
You said you would never consider doing this but you do seem to be trying to push the “justness” of such an action. It would be a sin, period.

I agree that this is the reality if that did happen. I am just posing the question, if there was a gurantee no one would be hurt…It’s a hypothesis…I know there are really no gurantees.

You dont fight evil by doing evil.

Ok, I forget what I am saying about bombinb the abortion clinic, what I am trying to figure out is who decides when something is justifiable war or not? The church? The people? The goverment? I can see I am wrong now, I must admit I didn’t see anything wrong with bombing a clinic if there was a gurantee no one would be hurt, but there is no gurantee so its a stupid question to pose. My main question is what makes some things like the destruction of an abortion mill wrong, but bombing Japan in world war l ok? Or fighting against nazis in world war ll ok? Who decides what is justifiable to go to war against?

I know its against the law, but you and I both know that there is a higher law than mans law. When is civil disobedience ok? I saw a priest getting arrested at notre dame for protesting peacefully, but according to the cops, he was breaking the law …should he have not protested then? Does the golden rule always apply? If someone is fighting in a war in the middle east and they are about to be shot by a terrorist, should they not fire back because they wouldnt want to be fired at in the first place? I am TRULY trying to understand…I am not trying to push my own ideas on anyone, I genuinly want to understand these things, maybe I should just read the Catechism

plus there may not be anybody inside, but theres bound to be the bodies of the aborted babies…

Just talked with my dad and he said the Church teaches that matters like this or anything related to starting war an individual isn’t allowed to take into his own hands, so that makes sense. Again though, does the church decide or the goverment when a war is justifiable, or when it is justifiable to go to war?

Brother I did stipulate it was my personal opinion. But fair enough, I value and respect your knowledge here.

That said I’m surprised that property could take precedent over life.

Would this also extend to the abortionists tools? Could the destruction of their equipment (through direct means rather than explosives or something that would possibly result in human injury) ever be justified?
