It’s not any “more clear”. People are engaging in gossip and idle speculation of the type Jesus Christ warned about.

I see no reason not to believe that Benedict resigned because of some ill health, possibly encroaching dementia.
 
Yes, well that would be surprising, since Cardinal Farrell was not not a cardinal, was not in Rome, was the Bishop of Dallas all during Benedict’s papacy. Can we please stop with things that are not only hearsay, but worse, completely unattributed hearsay. If you want to make an accusation against someone, at least have the decency to say where you read it.

Hasn’t been released yet, if it exists at all, so nobody outside those who claim to have it have read it.

It could be important if it exposes those who covered up abuses, otherwise we already know there is a homosexual problem in the Church.

Cathinfo is clear in their agenda, and anyone can say anything on youtube.

How about we wait for an actual source.
 
I had heard about this dossier before, but I don’t understand why this media source would claim to have it but then just sit on it. I’m going to be a bit skeptical given that this news actually dropped 10 days ago.

Ideally I’d like there to be no need to even have any report or to render it moot if the Vatican would just clean house. If Pope Benedict wanted this to be dealt with, then I’d be happy for them to just quietly deal with it as he had wished.

If no effort has been made to clean house, then it’s a shame that all this dirt would have to be thrown out to the public for any of it to be acknowledged and cleaned up.

Physical weakness and old age I think…the weight of that office requires great strength. His mind has remained sharp by all accounts.

This is an article from 2013 that mentions a 300 page dossier that was handed to Pope Benedict…reading the whole article is horrifying if it is all true…I don’t know if it is just false…true…half true…it is just too horrendous to think the things alleged in this article about the Catholic church are true…read it at your own risk…I hope no one thinks I’m trying to cause gossip to our faith…I really hope some one can prove it’s a complete fabrication
 
It’s not a bombshell if nobody knows about it. Not really worth a second thought until the contents hit a more reliable source than Church Militant. Again, if it’s so juicy, and even LifeSite hasn’t picked it up (because they would be all over it), It’s not a news item.
 
I’d prefer Pope Francis to release the dossier. It was entrusted for HIM to address the financial and moral corruption in the episcopacy he leads… He is the one who holds the Keys and has authority.
