BOMBSHELL: FBI Agent Said He’d Make Sure Trump Was Never President, Texted 'We’ll Stop It’
.
Ben Shapiro June 14, 2018
.
.Buried in the Department of Justice Inspector General’s report – a report that found no political bias in the actions of the FBI during the Hillary investigation – is one massive bombshell: a text from FBI agent Peter Strzok to his lover, FBI agent Lisa Page. Here’s the insane exchange, circa August 2016:
Page: [Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!
Strzok: No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it.
WE’LL STOP IT?

How in the world could an FBI agent – and not just an FBI agent, but a key, high-ranking FBI agent involved in both the Hillary Clinton investigation and the Russian election interference investigation – text this? And more importantly, how could the IG then find that no political bias was present in the actions of the FBI? . . .
.
. . . We won’t know the extent of FBI mishandling of the Russian investigation today. That’s not covered by this IG report. But it’s nearly impossible to overstate the importance of this set of text messages. It lays bare the motivations of Strzok and Page, and lends serious credibility to the contention that when Strzok spoke of the Russia investigation as an “insurance policy” against Trump’s presidency, he was serious. . . .
.
. . . This is an explicit admission that high-ranking actors in the FBI saw preventing Trump’s presidency as paramount. Barring some highly damning information demonstrating the full legitimacy of the Russia investigation, this text from Strzok to Page could and should completely destroy whatever faith that America still had in the legitimacy of the Russia investigation.

I have tried very hard not to impugn Strzok and Page’s motivation from what I have seen so far (before this).

Seeing this makes it gullible of me to affirm anything but rotten intent here.

Strzok and Page should be removed from Government service and be placed under investigation in my opinion.

Any security clearance they have should be immediately stripped.

A grand jury needs to be convened over this and some outfit (possibly a special investigator) needs to be brought into the picture ASAP as with the high level of this corruption, the FBI cannot be trusted to investigate itself after this evidence.

The FBI leadership both recent and more distant needs to be carefully examined as well (with Strzok and Page climbing to such responsible and influential echelons in the intelligence community I wonder how they got there in the first place).

The fact that Mueller has not extended his investigation to Hillary, Bernie, etc. campaigns too is bothersome to me (WHY should the Russians stop at the Republican campaign?).

The intel. community has repeatedly stated that President Trump is NOT under investigation. That begs the question (to me at least) WHY wasn’t then-candidate Trump notified of a potential security risk the same way the DNC was?

And WHY has the “Russian investigation” not involved the DNC (recall that is where many wikileaks documents came from)?

This looks terrible. And the IG proclaiming no bias reminds me of Comey telling America about what did and did not motivate Hillary.

This Strzok and Page fiasco raises a plethora of other questions as well.

If my cell phone texts were subpoenaed there would surely be pearl clutching. An exchange between boyfriend and girlfriend out of context may sound like a scandal when it is just simple talk, you know, hyperbolic speech (as every Trump supporter tells me I need to ignore when it comes from the lips or tweets of POTUS).

And if this were just a boyfriend-girlfriend exchange I would agree with you (especially BEFORE this).

And if this were just an adulterer-adulteress exchange maybe even then (until now).

But being that he was placed in so high in the FBI and in such influential positions, and seeing what I’ve now seen, this cannot be blown-off without a real genuine deep investigation.

That’s my opinion anyway.

If hyperbole is good enough for POTUS, it is certainly acceptable for govm’t employees.

It isn’t a bombshell to me, but simply the thing I expect from the people the president inherited from the previous administration. I suppose though that this may be a bombshell from those who haven’t thought such things have been happening.

To remind you, these were 2 FBI agents cheating on their spouses with each other. Cheating on your spouse is immoral. Cheating with someone from work when that work involves serious ethical issues is even more egregious. Then covering up the affair by communicating via your workphones? I now understand why Comey let Clinton get away with her email server.

These people were running an investigation that could affect a presidential election. Their personal and professional choices both compromise their integrity and thus their ability to honestly conduct an investigation.

When have Republicans ever cared about cheating on your spouse?
.

When Bill Clinton was carrying on in the White House with a girl who was an intern and Democrats told them . . .

It “wasn’t true.”
Then Democrats told them “It’s just sex”
and “it’s none of your business”
and “it’s a waste of taxpayer dollars” looking into it.

I do not thinking cheating necessarily disqualifies you from a government job, but when your cheating also raises ethical concerns because you are cheating with another FBI agent and misappropriating FBI equipment to hide that affair, you have some serious problems. If you abuse your position for personal reasons, we have reason to be worried about you it abusing for political reasons, especially in light of a text message which is prima facie evidence that you did just that.

All right then, Jagged. You’re trying to tell me Republicans, as a class, have never cared about 'cheating on your spouse"?
You’ve lost all credibility with an offensive slur on literally millions of decent people in America who have been members of the Republican party --and frankly, I believe the majority of people in the DEMOCRATIC party would find your comments as offensive as I do.

Got anything for us in the 21st century?
Yes. Principles.

Many of those Republicans have adopted the principles those Democrats sold to them and urged them to internalize.

Some of them did.

So now many of those Republicans look at the “daily rage”
as mere virtue singnalling
and proverbial kabuki theatre
used in an attempt to manipulate them politically.
(And “the daily rage” over at CNN and elsewhere just isn’t working)

They have become (some of them) impervious to people like Charlie Rose, Harvey Weinstein, and Samantha Bee, moralizing to them.

I’m not saying it is good or right.

But I am saying the Democrats helped create this situation.

Hey, as you helpfully pointed out, foreign governments initiated the action. Trump did not. He is not running the day-to-day operations of his businesses anymore either. So I am not sure what the problem is. Unless you have some actual evidence of impropriety there is no issue.

Oh, I see. You want to hijack the thread. Nope, not playing. Buh-bye.

I don’t really see any principles from the modern Republican Party . . .
That’s OK if you are unable to see it jagged.

But that’s part of what’s going on.
