U2’s Bono looks set to meet yet another pontiff, as Pope Benedict XVI extended an invitation to the singer and hundreds of other artists to meet with him in the Vatican, to rekindle a relationship between faith and art.

I was a big fan of U2 and still like to listen to some of thier music.

I’m no fan of George Bush but I thought the whole “hug dodge” that he laughed about was low class. The former preisdent did commit a lot of money to Afica.

Is Bono going to make jokes about dissing the Pope after he meets him?

popular media IS the new evangelization. unless you have some good, moral songs or movies in your back pocket that are ready for distribution next week, let the pope do his job. he and we need to get into the pop culture. pop culture is the bible to too many people and if the catholic church can make her mark in it then the whole world is better off for it.
