Exactly!I’m not sure there’s any evidence that he was born in Nazareth. They start with a secular assumption about the story that it is false, then sit back in their arm chairs and talk about what must *really *have happened with this rabbi.
That article is talking about Bethlehem of Judea vs Bethlehem of Galilee. I want to learn something about his supposed birthplace of Nazareth. Here is someone who debunked it for you. You have to follow links. christiancadre.blogspot.com/2012/12/whither-born-jesus-is-aviram-oshri-right.html
(Consider the man has a bias. Consider that his peers and community will applaud to say that Jesus was not born in Bethlehem like the prophets said. He’ll get fame! hard to get for a plain old archaeologist. Look, he is in the papers already. Make an outrageous, unsupported claim and you WILL make the papers! Especially if it pleases religious skeptics, who are legion. However, if this “expert!”'s claims were true, don’t you think the Pharisees woudl have use that 2000 years ago, in in the centuries following?? Its a pretty recent “development”.)
Its just common sense, Faith. I think that is why people are not interested in spending time with it. Hope the above article, when you get to the original one, helps.
I see, well this Avirim guy is beginning his own controversy, and not enough people are finding it plausible to write about yet. That article is talking about Bethlehem of Judea vs Bethlehem of Galilee. I want to learn something about his supposed birthplace of Nazareth.
Can you give me some names of reputable mystics?I see, well this Avirim guy is beginning his own controversy, and not enough people are finding it plausible to write about yet.
Maybe read some of the reputable mystics who wrote in more detail about Jesus and his life on earth. That is a LOT more interesting and edifying than these attention seekers.
Based on which scholars?Yes Jesus was Born in Bethlehem …and lived in Nazareth…
Such are the historical factum.
Tis not an open question.
Historical and Inspired (by the Holy Spirit) documents from Matthew and Luke…and the constant Tradition of the Church that Jesus founded…Based on which scholars?
Am I missing something or do scholars have some other reason for believing Jesus was born in Nazareth other than He was called A Nazarine? Because I take that to mean that’s just where He grew up.Historical and Inspired (by the Holy Spirit) documents from Matthew and Luke…and the constant Tradition of the Church that Jesus founded…
Truth here is concerning Revelation …from God who can neither deceive or be deceived…
…though I am sure there are plenty of Scholars who agree with such.
One can simply turn to good Commentaries.
Do not let this writer or that writer make this into an actual question…
It is not an open question.
If articles were written that we did not really exist…I would ignore them too…
Like asking suppose I really am a guy named henry who lives on Mars…not me…living where I am…Let’s suppose He WAS Born in Nazareth. What does that say about our Bible and our faith?
Some say there are discrepancies in the Bible and that’s ok. Is it ok if He was actually born in Nazareth?
And you would be correct and those which should know better…should send you their paychecks…Because I take that to mean that’s just where He grew up.
Absolutely! It doesn’t change a single thing concerning our faith as expressed entirely in the Creed. You continue to find fault with the accuracy of the Bible, yet not in four threads have you ever accepted what others shared in order to help your unbelief. And here you are again, in yet another thread arguing about the same thing, almost as if you want everyone to believe that the bible is not trustworthy.Let’s suppose He WAS Born in Nazareth. What does that say about our Bible and our faith?

I’m sorry in your disappointment in me. I have OCD and obsess about religion.Absolutely! It doesn’t change a single thing concerning our faith as expressed entirely in the Creed. Going back to St. Luke who wrote the third gospel, it seems very clear that he obtained his information straight from Mary, Jesus’ mother, giving details found in no other gospel. Are you now trying to imply that maybe Mary isn’t being truthful about the census, her and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, and all the other facts surrounding His birth, such as the shepherd’s visitation, the heavenly chorus of angels? Or St. Luke wrote fairy stories? All fiction?I am really disappointed in your lack of trust and faith.
As Jesus once remarked, Mark 10:15
“Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Your obsessive curiosity will be the death of your faith.
And I would say …talk with your Priest and those who provide medical care…I’m sorry in your disappointment in me. I have OCD and obsess about religion.![]()

The only remedy is to enter the kingdom with the simplicity of a child, telling Jesus that you love and trust him and you will be faithful. You might consider these two prayers to add to your daily regime, along with the Nicene Creed.I’m sorry in your disappointment in me. I have OCD and obsess about religion.![]()
It doesn’t matter WHERE He was born, but that He was INCARNATE of the Virgin Mary. (That’s another snafu that pseudo apologists argue tooth and nail, that Mary sinned and had other children) You can go nuts listening to those outside our faith who delight in taunting us with insidious challenges that serve no valid purpose except to decrease our beautiful simple faith. But if He was born in Nazareth or Betlehem of Galilee instead of Bethlehem of Judea that would be ok?
