I got along very well with a co worker, who I was working in the same department with at my new job. It was only us 2 in the same position, basically working as a team. My boss mentioned how he liked my persistence /aggressiveness, and that she was lacking that . He talked about letting her go, but I didn’t really think he would. We work very well together, and the weaknesses I have, are her strengths, and her weaknesses are my strengths. So, I feel we do great as a team. Today, after work hours, he told me he terminated her because he wasn’t seeing results and that she lacked organization and ambition. About 10 minutes later or so, she called me and told me he terminated her (through text), and he told her it was because they were eliminating that department or something along those lines; basically financial type reasons. She was shocked when I told her what he said, and I was shocked as well. I really like my boss, and felt like he was genuine and I was comfortable opening up, and I liked this co worker a lot. In fact, a big reason for me liking it , was because of her; she helped train me a lot, and I still don’t feel fully trained, and I feel like I won’t perform as well without her there. There’s a lady who works there that is the owner’s sister, and she is not a pleasant person to be around at all, and I feel they might put her in my department, and it would suck. I want to talk to my boss about letting my previous co worker to come back. Any suggestions/advice on what could work, that would help mr get her back in?
