Or maybe they have genuine revulsion for the perp.
Or maybe their sense of solidarity with the victims, and their identification with U.S. citizens plays a part.
Or maybe they are concerned that other people’s revulsion for the perp will cause security problems within their cemeteries, etc. (Throughout history, angry people have been known to desecrate graves if the passion is strong enough.)

Btw, I do not disagree with you about the family’s responsibility; whether the wife, the mother, whomever: let them bury him overseas.
 
They are way over the line with this one and the Christian rants. These people in Mass are angry and being pushed, its not helping. In fact it has now created something I have “never” seen in history with a burial.

Cremate the body and send it Fed-X to “whoever” in the so called family wants it.

I don’t understand why the Boston mosque refused the burial. In that they don’t believe in religious radical violence has “nothing” to do with the religious burial. Chalk it up as a miscommunication or “whatever”.

Surah 9:5 “slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush.”

That’s what the bomber did, that’s his faith from the above book. If that’s not the faith the mosque taught then perhaps more work is needed? This time they need to care for the remains of one of their own, regardless if he “slipped through the cracks” of sola sciptura reading.:rolleyes:

So let me get this right, if you don’t die in the way “good” muslims would like according to their understanding of the above verse and Quran, then you don’t receive a Islamic burial?

So what’s the problem? Cremate the body.🤷

Burying him overseas is not an option according to the police. Anyway, people are acting like a lynch mob, even though there is no one to lynch. It is a dead body. A civil society is supposed to bury its dead. Burying a body does not equate memorializing him. Where happens to other criminals when they die? Level 3 sex offenders. Serial killers. We can’t just send them overseas because we are repulsed by them, and the funeral home director shouldn’t have to keep the body indefinitely because people decided to join in protest.

Is there something posted on this thread that appears to negate what you are saying? We are talking about forgiveness, here, not conversion. The CCC explains how we are to relate to Muslims.

In the mean time, hammar, join me in promoting forgiveness.
 
It’s not about liking the person in life. Is it not a corporal work of mercy to bury the dead, even the criminal dead? We extended better treatment to Bin Laden, and he was in life responsible for far more crimes than Tsarnaev ever was.
