Or maybe they have genuine revulsion for the perp.I honestly think the wife should be responsible for this, like it or not. I think a lot of people are jumping on the bandwagon not to allow the body to be buried on their turf, for fear of repercussions.
Or maybe their sense of solidarity with the victims, and their identification with U.S. citizens plays a part.
Or maybe they are concerned that other people’s revulsion for the perp will cause security problems within their cemeteries, etc. (Throughout history, angry people have been known to desecrate graves if the passion is strong enough.)
Btw, I do not disagree with you about the family’s responsibility; whether the wife, the mother, whomever: let them bury him overseas.
