Manno Pacquiao has lent his name to the Catholics in the fierce battle in the Philippines over “the reproductive health bill.” A national hero in the Philippines, the devout boxer is widely considered the best pound for pound boxer in the world, and he is the first boxer in history to win 10 world titles. The bill provides free contraceptives. Pacquiao says that he would have never been born or become an international boxing champion if his poor, uneducated parents had practiced birth control. Some critics of this bill also say it is a step leading next to abortion and divorce.
