Gonna be a looooooong thread.

An overwhelming amount of heterosexual pornography includes lesbians but definitely does not include male homosexual encounters. I’m not saying pornography should act as a standard, but it’s probably an excellent indicator of the double standard spoken of here.
duh, straight guys want to see naked women and this proves what exactly?

Text of the repeal resolution for homosexually oriented youth:
Quote:
AND WHEREAS, Scouting is a youth program, and any sexual conduct, whether homosexual or heterosexual, by youth of Scouting age is contrary to the virtues of Scouting; and
nor may any member use Scouting to promote or advance any social or political position or agenda
Ed yes they were excluded before. I had to leave scouting after I earned my Eagle even though I’ve always been celibate; they excluded even chaste homosexuals before. And the resolution stated that political agendas such as the Human Rights campaign is not permitted neither is sexual activity as I highlighted in my post.

Opposing the repeal is a red herring because of the ban on gay rights political agendas (any political agenda), and sexual activity of any kind in the resolution. Believe me as an Eagle Scout I’ve been following this to the letter, and there is no one more qualified to speak on this than an Eagle Scout.

Thank you for sharing this.

I stand corrected. Thank you. Opposing the repeal is opposing the obvious. First, scouts are told to not march in a gay pride parade in uniform by the leadership and then some do. That one young man is sporting a good number of badges. Obviously, to the letter is not going to be to the letter anymore.

“Today is a historic day for Boy Scouts across the country who want to be a part of this great American institution,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “But the new policy doesn’t go far enough. Parents and adults of good moral character, regardless of sexual orientation, should be able to volunteer their time to mentor the next generation of Americans.”

Yeah, I’ve seen enough of the Human Rights Campaign stickers on cars to know exactly where this is going. Outside gay advocacy groups forced this. Do you like to be forced, either as a scout or as a civilian?

I work in the media and as part of my job, monitor it on an almost daily basis. I think it’s obvious.
