Boy Scouts to allow gay youths to join

I don’t accept the premise. Why does a gay boy stay for a while and then leave? Maybe before this decision, a gay boy is forced to leave because he is ostracized by some of the other boys based on his appearance or mannerisms, and after this decision, that kind of behavior on the part of the other boys is not tolerated unless the gay boy behaves contrary to the rules.
So you advocate that the other scouts should accept behavior contrary to the moral law?

If that kind of behavior was tolerated before this decision, it would not suddenly stop after the decision. Bullying should never be tolerated. I wonder how many boys with effeminate mannerisms were harassed by gays into believing that they are gay.

Even if it wouldn’t stop suddenly, at least gay boys would have an opportunity to become boy scouts like other boys. I doubt gay boys harass straight boys with effeminate mannerisms into believing they are gay. That sounds a little strange to me.

But they had the opportunity before and some have expressed that they benefited greatly from being members of the Boy Scouts. So why couldn’t “gay” boys continue as they were without challenging the organizations right to set their own moral code as the Supreme Court ruled?

I don’t know the statistics in this regard. I would assume there are gay boys who are already scouts and do benefit from the experience. However, those that may be perceived to be gay, for whatever reason, and are outed would have no protection before this change. It was similar in the military. Now, the issue of a private organization setting its own moral code based on SSA, not behavior, is an interesting one and I would have to think more about that.
