The top 5 nominated movies, have not been seen by 80% of America.
The American Broadcasting Company is worried that viewership will be way down and they will have to cut advertising rates for the show.
Brokeback mountain is not a big financial success and winning the academy award probably won’t win much given the active opposition to the film,

The active opposition from the film comes from a dwindling number of far-right, socially prehistoric religious factions who haven’t really grasped the meaning of all Jesus’s peace and caring talk, and distribution is the reason more people haven’t seen it, which when it wins, probably will no longer be a problem.

I will rent BBM but wont pay to see it at show.

Its not the gay love affair that annoys me. Its the selling of this story as a “classic love story” I dont believe in classic love stories when there is adultry going on. Though I aint down with gay love stories, I would have respected it more if these guys maybe dated women and didnt decide to get married, have families and do the “down-lo” thing.

But I also agree there’s a weird reverese propaganda thing going on with the radical right christians whether catholic or not.

Why don’t we prehistorics pay more attention to Jesus’ message regarding peace and caring? We do. But we also know that, quite simply, these were only secondary reasons, at best, for His coming. Jesus came to die on the Cross for us. His main message was repent and obey. Of course, obedience isn’t a message Amchurch likes to hear. Fortunately, Amchurch is a dwindling, religiously insignificant faction.

BTW - For you prehistorics, like me, out there. Take heart, our Lord is prehistoric, too. You know, what with Him inventing time, and all.

Ad I see Jesus primarily as a caring messenger. If that makes me wrong…then I’m wrong.
