Because man is head of the woman, comes with the territory, so stop whining, its not attractive and could be a big contributor to why you are single.
Um…no.

First off, not polite to tell anyone to stop whining or say something like this my friend. A “man” wouldn’t talk like this.

And for the record, I’ve known many women who try to pressure sex-it’s not that men are the sexual deviants and women the paragon of sexual virtue.

It may not be polite but it is the charitable thing to do in that it is what he needs to hear. The OP feels guilty enough without him jumping in with his own feelings of victimhood and piling them on her.

As to women I already knew that, but they are only that way because men let them and even encourage them to be that way, it is not natural to them rather man have taught them that.

And it is in mans power to stop them been that way, only not enough men want to.

Remember not to confuse “charity” with being unmannerly.

As to everything else you said…I disagree with you completely.

Cheers.

Remember who you are. You are a child of God. You are a daughter of the King. You are cherished by Our Lord. He bought and paid for you with His own blood. You are a sweet daughter of Mary. Your angel is in reverential awe every time you worthily receive Communion. You have the ability to delight our Lord when you are in union with Him.

God has lovingly prepared so many precious gifts especially for you, and this relationship is damaging you, hurting you, coercing you to do things you know are wrong, giving you regret and guilt, turning you into someone you don’t wish to be.

“how do i deal with my bf threatening to leave me and go meet another girl”…that gives me the shudders. That is not something any decent man would ever threaten. End it now.
👍

Of course you do, most men do and it is because men have abdicated their responsibilities that things are in the state they are in.

Ask a psychologist what the main contributing factors to female promiscuity are, you will be surprised I think.

My friend,

Most men are decent, loving, respectful, and are trying their best. They haven’t abdicated anything because of the lack of desiring responsibility. They’ve simply learned to adapt and live happily with the ladies in their life.

However, I think it would be best if we agree to disagree.I think you and I will not come around to seeing the same on this issue. Let’s not get ugly or assume anything. Bad form.

*A single man is not the ‘‘head’’ of a single woman. A HUSBAND should be the spiritual leader of the household. But, in single-land…a single man isn’t the head of ‘‘his woman.’’ *

Promiscuity in women doesn’t just come from nowhere my friend, it is a result of childhood experiences, it is largely the result of bad or non existent fathers.

Imagine what your dad would do if he read your OP.

Resolve today to make your daddy proud of you.

Why is it that whenever there is a thread about a women having problems with sexual sins it always follows with the blame of the man? Unless it is rape involved, which I doubt since there is no mention of the OP taking police action against her boyfriend, then a woman must take responsibility for her own chastity especially in a relationship with a non-believer. Non-believers have different morals than believers do. By giving in to sex, you actually show to him that religious people are hypocrites that preach one thing and do another when pleasure is at stake and by this you harden his heart to Christ even further. Remember, for many non-religious people sex is a sign of basic love in a relationship. It is something normal that you do if you love each other. So for an agnostic, turning down sex with him can be like rejecting him personally. This is because for many sex is not viewed with the same reverence as Christians revere it. To him, it feels like he is with a girl that he is attracted to but for some reason that he doesnt understand or comprehend she tries to say no to him…then eventually says yes. He probably thinks you are playing a game of hard to get and is playing along. A situation like this happens all to often yet people never seem to learn that there are many ways to get involved with a like-minded person. If you cannot find someone through the course of your life, many churches have single or young adult groups. If this fails, you have tons of dating websites that are centered around Christians finding love.

I have to say that women want equality yet they expect the man to do all the work in keeping the relationship chaste and take most of the blame. If woman want equality and respect from every man than they must stop settling for less and demand more. Just because some men are failing doesnt mean that women have to lower themselves to meet that level. Too many women complain about men and yet they almost always lower their standards to meet the lowest of the men. It seems like an exercise in futility. You complain about something you can control but are too weak to actually stand up for what you want. I think many of the feminists of the 19th and early 20th century would be horrified by women that lower their morality to meet the demands of men. They all fought for the superiority of women’s virtue over men. We have gone from Susan B. Anthony to Paris Hilton in this country. A woman can as Susan B. Anthony believed compete with men on their feminine basis but women are all too content with stooping down to their level and then complaining about how the man didnt change. Well, people do not always change and it does not help anyone get to heaven when we lower our standards because we are too weak to imagine life without regular sex.

I know many men who are much better men than I am that are single just like myself. I think with the amount women complain about finding a good man it is a travesty that some of my friends and family are still single. Many of them have been treated horribly when they have been in a relationship. My brother had a girl that he dated for a short time that got mad at men that held doors open for her. Other women that my friends and family try to get involved with have such emotional problems from past relationships that they cannot handle a normal relationship with a man that treats them well since it seems abnormal to them. Still others cheat on my friends sexually with other men. The common complaint from them is good women are hard to find. Yet I do not see them lowering standards or doing things sexually to gain love like women do. Yes, it is hard for men including myself to find good women but we do not need to have a relationship. This need for a relationship that many women have creates many of their desperate actions to find a man. If only the good women could actually follow through with what they say they want and not accept less I think we would see less of these all too common threads on here and we would all have less problems with temptation and falling into sin.
*There is some truth to what you’re saying here…I agree with some of this. From a general perspective. In the OP’s case, it might be that her bf is bullying her…she might be frightened. It happens. But, in general, I think you make some interesting points and observations in your life. *

*A single man is not the ‘‘head’’ of a single woman. A HUSBAND should be the spiritual leader of the household. But, in single-land…a single man isn’t the head of ‘‘his woman.’’ *
A single man doesn’t have a woman at all.

Promiscuity in women doesn’t just come from nowhere my friend, it is a result of childhood experiences, it is largely the result of bad or non existent fathers.
*Yes – there have been studies to this effect. There’s truth in this, and many women out there fall prey to ‘‘bad’’ guys because of such childhoods. *

Thank you for saying this in a much clearer way that I attempted too.

You said above a man is head of woman. What were you referring to?
That’s right, man is responsible for woman but also the governor of them, don’t blame me that was God’s decision after Eve went and got the fruit from the tree ok!

Which man is governor of which woman is separate matter, I am just talking generally here.

The point I was really trying to make is that women are naturally eager to make their man happy whether they are dating, married or whatever and it is the man’s responsibility not to abuse a woman’s natural inclination to yield to a man by turning that against her to indulge whatever selfish desires he may have. In fact it is his duty to protect the woman even against any bad inclinations she might have developed over her life.

*I agree with your last paragraph…not the first. Men who are strangers to me in the street don’t ‘‘govern’’ me. Men I meet at work, my husband’s brothers, etc…don’t ‘‘govern’’ me. My husband doesn’t ‘‘govern’’ me either, for that matter…he loves me as Christ loves His Church, I am submissive to him as the head of household. There seems to be an implication you’re drawing that God handed down an edict that ALL men govern any and all women. I will have to disagree with you there. *

OP,please listen to the advice from others in this thread and drop this creep. A good man, even an agnostic good man, does not treat a woman like this! I know it takes awhile, but there really are good men, saving sex for marriage, out there. It is also possible he is staying with you until he can break down the resistance of a “good girl”. Strange as it is, some do get a thrill out of destroying virtue. Believe me, your problems with him will not be solved by sleeping with him; it will be yet another means of using you.

It could be that you’re saying men should be responsible for themselves and the women they are dating…married to. I agree, but women have to be responsible for their actions too…because a lot of the time, especially these days, they end up with the wrong men, and if they don’t look out for themselves, the men won’t. Govern probably isn’t the best suited word then, for that…but I* think** I know what you mean. *

Of course women still bear their own responsibility, but I again refer back to the fathers of daughters, if women end up with wrong men it is at least partly the fault of their fathers, either they have not instilled confidence in their daughters to be true to their femininity or they have not educated them in what to look for in a man and what to avoid, have not set a good example themselves, have not nurtured their daughters respect towards them as their father, or have not worked hard enough to protect their daughter from the wrong type of man, etc.

That makes sense, if you ignore the reality of free will. A father could raise his daughter absolutely perfectly, and yet there will still always be a small chance that the daughter makes a decision completely on her own to involve herself with a bad guy later on in spite of all that.
