So long as the person demanding obedience is not ordering you to sin or go against the 10 Commandments, your obedience is obliged, no matter what your opinions on faith are.Also, faith trumps obedience, when it comes right down to it.
How can you as a person decide faith is above obedience though? How are you defining faith apart from the Church?
But who’s job is it to decide when something “contradicts the faith”? When you’re doing it yourself, then you’re no better then Protestants.The Faith is unchanging, whereas obedience (to one’s superior) is not always required…such as when he contradicts the Faith, etc.
