Brave priest

I agree he is brave. It is always brave to single-handedly enter a protest and disrupt it. I guess it is up to those who pray to decide if it fits the definition of prayer.
 
This should be shown on every major network. It might get the ignorant masses to see the reality of those pushing the gay agenda. God Bless this brave Priest for facing hatred and intolerance with prayer and love. He has the patience of a Saint. I, especially as I am now, would have resulted in throwing punches. God give me the strength to confront the pride of others without becoming arrogant myself.
 
I don’t get what the police were doing. Were they going to arrest him for protesting the protestors?

Police commonly separate protesters from counter-protesters, because the interactions between the two are emotionally charged, often ugly, and can turn violent. The police were likely escorting him to a safe location.

What Fr. O’Reilly did was certainly brave. I am not sure about prudent, though. He could have easily prayed nearby without joining into the throng of Chick fil A protesters.

If anyone would like to send him an email, letter or phone call of support, there seem to be several ways of reaching him. He is associate pastor of Santa Maria del Popolo Catholic Church (Mundelein, IL) , pastor of the school, and spiritual director of the Chicago Senatus of the Legion of Mary.

He celebrated his 25th anniversary as a priest two years ago.

I actually work there I got there right after this happened. As the previous poster mention the police separated the priest from the crowd, as you can tell from the vid things were about to get ugly. Also what we didn’t want was the protesters blocking the sidewalk, this is on Chicago Ave which is very busy street. What originally happened was that a small crowd of Chick-fil-a supporters showed up and lined up against the restaurant which is on the University’s property. They were there peacefully but in a short time the pro-gay activist showed up, and boy were they mad. That’s when CPD showed up to make sure no fights broke out and no one blocked the sidewalk. I am kind of glad I didn’t come out on the vid lol, I was more concerned that no one vandalize the property since that is my jurisdiction. Thankfully CPD did their job well. FYI I did talk to the priest and told him that I was glad to see a priest stand up and not just small talk like some priest do.

The absolute hypocrisy is astounding. Who is the ‘hateful bigot’ here, have they no self perception?
 
This is incredible, the part of the vid showed the Priest praying, trying not to confront the gay crowd shouting rude remarks at him.This country is unbelievable, when you can not pray without being harased* (sp) . And I also saw the man reading the Bible. God bless this Priest, and the homeless man reading the Bible.

Wow. That reminded me of two things. Three!
  1. This might be like our first 5 minutes in Purgatory.
  2. This scripture Where David allows himself to be cursed (like Jesus did on His day
    of Crucifixion)

This is very scary. Will it soon be too dangerous to stand up for the truth, for what is right? God bless this priest indeed. What an example he is for us all, to remain peaceful and steadfast, even in the face of such evil.
 
Poor man. All he was doing was praying. How hateful these supposedly "tolerant " people are. They will one day have to answer for their evilness and the way they treated a priest of God.
