Brazil Turns to Catholic Church to Quash Crack Epidemic

The government of Sao Paulo, Brazil, which found itself unable to do anything itself about the huge crack epidemic affecting its city, as it does like the rest of Brazil, has sought help from a Catholic mission, whose religious approach is effectively helping addicts there.

I really pray for these people. I’m very happy to see the Church helping to guide them back to good lives and out of addiction. The town I live in is suffering a serious meth epidemic with people my age. Drug addiction is a truly frightening thing to see. I hope that God continues to guide these people.
