Im glad to hear it. Unions in the government are totaly different from outside the government and I dont believe they should be aloud.
The myth that all schools need s more money was pretty much destroyed by what happened in Kansas City Missouri in the mid-1980s. A Federal judge took control the school system ,arbitrarily raised taxes and pumped $2 billion in additional funds into the school district-the end result was no appreciable increase in student achievement or graduation rates.Typical liberal argument - we are failing because we still haven’t spent enough…
- We’ve increased the amount of money we spend on education dramatically over the years and it has not improved our schools. As the documentary I mentioned earlier shows, even the well-heeled suburban schools, such as the one they highlight in Redwood City, CA, have a high level of failure. More resources.
- Studies show that the biggest impact is better teachers. The union prevents the removal of lousy teachers, therefore they hinder the biggest impact that could be made to our schools and our kids.
Actually they decreased and the school system was literally abandoned by a large portion of the population. The school district is in the process of closing over half their buildings. The myth that all schools need s more money was pretty much destroyed by what happened in Kansas City Missouri in the mid-1980s. In this video commentary, I focus on the recall elections of Wisconsin Republican State Senators who voted for Gov. Walker’s reforms. They are scheduled for July 12th and the fate of the entire thrust of these changes is at stake!
Actually, Tom Woods is not an economist, he is a historian. One has to be very careful when reading his essays on economics because they can be prone to error. When I want to learn about matters economic, I will listen to economists. When I want to learn about salvation, I will listen to the Church.
The problem they have is they cannot mount a recall effort against Gov. Walker until at least next January. So even if they took over the legislature can read able to pass the repeal of the law he would veto it. And the dirty little secret is the Democrats really don’t want to repeal this law as they know it is necessary to take care of the state’s financial problems. It is a lot better for them just to blame the evil Republicans than to actually have the votes to overturn the law.Appears the government pubic union fight in Wisconsin is not over. Unions are pouring money into the state in hopes of recalling Republican Senators. Unions do not want to see education reforms.

Well, he typically collaborates with Thomas DiLorenzo, who IS an economist.Actually, Tom Woods is not an economist, he is a historian. One has to be very careful when reading his essays on economics because they can be prone to error.
Right, the concept of a “public employee union” makes no sense. Unions were formed to protect worker rights from “greedy capitalists who would exploit them”. The arbitrator of record between the corporation and the employees was…the government. Well, if the government is the employer, then where does the public employee go for recourse if the government itself becomes an “abusive employer”?When it comes to teachers and state workers, who is the greedy tyrant whom the workers need to be protected from?
I believe they want this law overturned. The dirty little secret is that the true outcry is over the provision which stops the automatic deduction of union dues out of employee paychecks and the fact that the union needs to re-certify every couple years.…the dirty little secret is the Democrats really don’t want to repeal this law as they know it is necessary to take care of the state’s financial problems. That’s a good point!. The dirty little secret is that the true outcry is over the provision which stops the automatic deduction of union dues out of employee paychecks and the fact that the union needs to re-certify every couple years.
