Please join me in a special prayer.

A dear friend of mine, who is also a CAF member, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has not posted a prayer request for herself…so I decided to do it.

P.I. is a young mother of 3.

She will be undergoing a total mastectomy on April 10. I will keep you all informed.

O Saint Peregrine, you who have been called “The Wonder-Worker” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you, who for so many years bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more; you who were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction, ask of God and Our Lady the cure of these sick persons who we entrust to you P.I. Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall praise God for His great goodness and mercy. AMEN
 
Lord, watch over P.I., as she bears this heavy burden. In your tender love and mercy, bring comfort to her, and her family, as she faces this difficult surgery April 10th. Be it your Will Lord, I pray for her healing, that all cancer is removed from her body, that she may be blessed with a complete and miraculous recovery at your hand!

Almighty and Eternal God,
You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You.
Hear us for Your sick servant P.I.
For whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy,
That being restored to bodily health,
Sje may give thanks to You in Your Church.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Father in Heaven, You alone conceived of this loving mother from all eternity. You have sustained her until this day, blessing her with the indescribable joy of precious children. Lord, as she struggles through this medical crisis, we beseech Your Divine Mercy upon her, that she will recover and love her children unto the time they are also blessed with their own children. May the doctors, nurses and technicians who care for her reflect Your love to her, restoring her in hope. As she has not asked for prayer Lord, may she receive an abundance, causing You to incline Your ear to hear the intercession of Blessed Jesus, at Your Right Hand. May the prayers of the faithful rise to Your Throne like incense from Your altar, calling graces down upon her. Comfort her with Your eternal promise of redemption, which we celebrate this coming Easter morning. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia! .

Poor P.I. needs prayer and so does her husband.

Her husband has really hurt her feelings several times because he doesn’t want her to have the mastectomy.

I guess I should explain a little.

What she has been diagnosed with is Lobular Carcinoma In Situ (LCIS). This is a type of cancer located in the milk duct. It was found and removed during a biopsy on another cyst.

The LCIS was completely removed with the biopsy. Problem is this… her chances of having a very agressive breast cancer just increased 10 fold. She has two choices:
  1. Have a total mastectomy and remove all chance of breast cancer.
  2. Have mamograms, ultrasounds, blood work and MRI’s every six months for life or until the diagnosis of breast cancer arises.
She choose the 1st option. I’m with her all the way. She has tried to explain to her husband how she feels about the situation. She told him that if she didn’t have the surgery, she would remain in a state of worry for the rest of her life. The surgeons have tried their best to explain to him how likely it is that she will have full blown cancer.

She is only 35 years old, please continue to pray for her. Also pray for her children ages 17, 13, and 10. They will have to do everything around the house for a while. Her husband probably will not help because he feels the surgery is not necessary.

Pray for him to be more understanding of her feelings and her health. He is really a good person, just strong willed I guess.

Dear Lord you are the healer and P.I. needs you to heal her immediately of this horrible disease . Lord let her be healed and be made whole. Lord she needs you to heal her physically and emotionally. Thank you Lord for doing this , in the name of Jesus, amen . Pyropam it is so nice of you to ask for prayer for your friend . Lord, please heal P.I. and give the light of the Holy Spirit to her family. Amen
