I didn’t say he did. I was just stating that being with a girl isn’t my thing. I do understand what Jesus has done for me and I always ALWAYS thank him for everything. My solution to solving this “dilemma” is to just not ask the Lord for guidance on the subject and just do my own thing…
Jesus said, “Without me, you can do NOTHING!”

Xphan,
You seem to be open to following Christ, good for you.
Have you heard of Courage, a ministry for Christians struggling with same sex attraction? There’s a chapter in my church and it seems to be a good thing. Here’s a link:here
God bless you.

I am open to Christ. I don’t know what I would do without him.
That is a wonderful attitude - and God will bless you for it. Have you tried talking to your Priest about this? Many - many struggle with this issue of homosexuality… and like you, they want to remain faithful to Christ. You are not alone and I am certain there is help out there for you. Did you try that Courage site? I’ve heard great things about that group.

We all struggle with sin. Satan knows just where our weak spots are… but with God’s help I can overcome mine - and you can overcome yours. It’s sounds so cheesy… but it’s so true… WITH GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

Bless you,
CM

Thank you. Good luck with your pregnancy. I did look into the Courage group but i’m still unsure if I want to “overcome” my homosexuality.

Well at least you know there are others in your situation if you decide you want help. Meanwhile, I’m praying for you. 🙂

Blessings,
CM

Thank you. You’re a nice person and the Lord will recompensate you for it.

This movie is an insult to the American rugged individualism and way of life. My family owns a cattle ranch. I could tell you that there’s no gay cowboy in the cattle ranching industry. This movie is a typical Hollywood propaganda.

Tom Mix and John Wayne must be rolling in their graves over this.
When they were making cowboy movies, who’da thunk it?!!
Our culture just continues to sink lower and lower.

Well, the USCCB acts like homosexual acts are evil…because they are evil. This is not the put down on the eprson who is gay, any more then soemone can put down an alcohalic. It is the act of drinkigna lcohal, not the tamtation to do so taht is sinful. Just as its commiting homosexual acts, not the tempted to such thigns, taht is evil.

True love is between a man and a woman…it was Adam and Eve…not Adam and Steve

I beg to differ. True love exists between man and man woman and woman and man and woman.

And Mugenone, accept the fact that homosexuality existed in America in the 1960’s…

I know…it’s so ecstatic to live in sins isn’t it?!

Perhaps he is using “love” in a different sense. Obviously love can and should exist between too people. However, true Godly love only wants the best for the other person. There is no higher good than to obtain an eternity with our creator and no greater evil than to miss that for fleeting wordly pleasure.

True love must desire the best for the beloved. Love is perverted into selfishness when it trades a relationship with God for wordly pleasure. This applies not only to homosexual “love” but all immoral heterosexual “love”.

Oh, gee. I’m glad I came across this thread. All I know about the movie is that it’s got Heath Ledger in it. And showed a scene of a man standing on the edge of the field and the sunlight is gorgeous. And the announcer is talking about it being Academy Award bound.

I thought I might like to see it. After all, Heath Ledger is really cute!

Yet, now you could NOT drag me there to see it!

Talk about “the near occasion of sin!” I would be tempted to judge everyone involved with this movie.

Instead, now I’ll just pray for them all.

This movie is an abomination, it should not be shown as it deeply offends the Lord. Everyone knows that God will have no part in a movie about homosxual lovers. Its absurd. Rather, a movie about the brutal slaying of a man, his being whipped, tortured, and nailed to a cross, the camera refusing to turn from every gory, bloody, sadistic detail ( a man’s eyes were even pecked out by a crow) is much more of a Godly film. What we need is less gay love, and more overdrawn, gruesome depictions of violence. Thats what God would want.

I know what you mean, Veronica Anne. I saw a trailer for it at the movie theater not long ago, and in no way did it ever indicate that it was a love story between 2 gay men. Every time the voice-over indicated it was a love story, the video clips were of the men with their wives. When I saw the previews, I thought it looked like a movie I would really like to see. When I found out it was about 2 men who were cheating on their wives with each other, I knew that it was one I would never want to see. I, too, like Heath Ledger, but unfortunately, this is one movie of his I will skip.

I suppose I can understand how a person, such as yourself who admits to being “no faith” could find the story of Jesus’ death troubling. What should trouble you though, is not how it was depicted on film, but rather, that YOUR Savior actually DID die that brutal death. Jesus took on ALL the sins of the world (even yours) so that you might find forgiveness.

Granted, I don’t really need to see every gory detail to be brought to my knees in gratitude and love for Jesus, who did this also for me. But some people’s hearts are so hard - even after viewing that - they are still unmoved. Now THAT is tragic.

Because it was beautifully made and the Oscar’s will prove that. Yes, i’m homosexual and I won’t ask for forgiveness because it would be admitting that i’m doing something wrong. And falling in love with another guy isn’t wrong in my eyes.
Wow! Wow!
