Friends,
I am feeling very heartbroken and worn-down physically due to many physical and emotional sufferings. If you could please lift me up in prayer, I’m sure Our Lord will hear you and help me carry this burdensome cross. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Always praying for everyone at CAF…

My dearest Mom, I pray for you continually and share in your sorrow. God has called upon you to bear a heavy burden, and in his mercy he will grant you the strength you need to carry it. But know that you do not carry it alone. We shall walk together on this journey, and lean upon each other in times of exhaustion.

Lord, comfort and console your humble servant. Help her to find the strength you have so graciously given her to endure her suffering. May she feel the warmth of the sun on her face, and know that she has been blessed by your love, the truest love. May the warmth of it’s rays radiate within her heart and fill her with peace and hope for an end to her sorrows. With the light of the rising sun, may she see your love Lord, and reach for you to carry her, to support her when she is weak, and renew her strength so she may walk graciously alongside you near and dear in your heart.
Amen.

Thank you, Diana. You are most dear friend. Your words have once again given me the strength to carry on one more day. Sometimes it’s day by day, sometimes hour by hour or moment by moment. But I get through it. Not without prayers, though, and God’s mercy. Thank you, dear friend!

Hey mom,
I will include you in my daily prayers. I hope you will feel uplifted!

Kathy

Katie & Prayerjohn,
Thank you both; I’m feeling uplifted already! You’re in my prayers too! God bless you both!

You’re in my prayers, Mom.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I cannot thank ALL of you enough for praying for me. I know I will get through this; just another one of life’s major bumps in the road. Thank God I have the Church, Our Blessed Mother, and all you great people at CAF. My heart is blessed by all of you. Much love…

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 118 (119): 145-152

I call on you with all my heart – answer me, Lord. I will obey your laws.
I call on you, save me so that I can keep your decrees.

At dawn I cry to you, I put all my hope in your word.
In the night I keep watch, pondering your sayings.

In your mercy, Lord, hear my voice; in your justice, give me life.
My persecutors come to do me harm: they are far from your law.

But you, Lord, are near to me, and you are trustworthy in all your precepts.
From the beginning I have known your decrees, how you have made them to last for ever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Phoenix,
You have brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing that with me. I don’t know what to say or how to thank you and everyone here. My heart is bursting with gratitude!

Mom4truth, by the trials of your life, the Lord is revealing how much He loves you. Is not your consciousness that of Christ in the garden? Was not His soul sorrowful, even unto death? This is an entirely appropriate mood for Lent. It is growth through suffering. Strength comes, like it or not, through trial and tribulation. Jesus cried out to His Father, both in the garden and on the cross, knowing Who His Father is! Offer your suffering up daily as a penance. For, if you come to the end of your life having suffered little, what will be your reward? If Christ suffered little, we would have little hope. We fast, pray and give alms in union with, and in solidarity with Christ. If the Lord gave us a well developed sense of justice, we would beg Him for more suffering. As it is, His mercy is so beyond our capabilities that we lose hope, falling back only upon the worldly consolation that we are accustomed to. Trust in Him. Rely on Him. What use is it if we thank Him only for the good? Even the Gentiles do as much. Thank Him for the evil and the good.

Loving and merciful Creator God, look with compassion upon Mom4truth as she walks with Christ in this Lenten journey. Bear her up when she stumbles and comfort her with Divine reassurance when she doubts. Graciously give her eyes which see far into her future, into a deepening, more mystical union with You. Incline Your ear to hear the intercession of our Lord Jesus, Who sits at Your Right Hand. May the prayers of the Angels and Saints rise to Your throne as does the smoke of incense, its pungent aroma conveying the true nature of her suffering. In each burden strengthen her, so that she may maintain her faith and store up treasure in Your Heavenly Kingdom. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen. Alleluia!
