Of all the names “he” could have chosen, he had to pick my daughter’s name…
 
I don’t think that Bruce is a BAD guy, but I wish he’d be as private as possible about it. This is nothing to celebrate. Rob 🤷

In his interview with Diane Sawyer, he said he’s doing this publicly, in part, to help young transgendered people, for whom the suicide rate is far higher than the national average.

Bruce Jenner is a rich white guy whose wealth and fame is able to insulate him from consequences of his decisions. Most people aren’t so fortunate.

If those young trans people are wealthy and famous, I’m sure it will, but for the rest of them, I’m doubtful. Does a rich rock star or actress having a child without a father help poor young women who decides to do the same?

Seems like he wants the same publicity as the Kardashian females.

Other people going through this don’t have makeup artist, hair stylists, publicists around them.
 
A couple of my fellow RCIA graduates have posted this to Facebook and are celebrating his “bravery.” I know it wouldn’t help if I said anything about it and I won’t. One also posts a lot of pro-gay marriage things. Makes me wonder why this person joined the Church. I don’t know if it’s my place to say anything and if so, what. I know a couple of times over the years the fellow who runs adult ed has charitably corrected me on some things. I don’t know. 🤷

I love NPR and I swear now everyday their Facebook newsfeed has transgender stories. What happened? Even my husband has noticed.

“Corrected you”? Meaning what? I sure hope the “correction” wasn’t to start accepting gay marriage, transgender surgery, etc?

I don’t get how this is brave? Brave is opposing this. If you are gay or a man who thinks he is a woman you are celebrated by our culture.

Things are changing quickly. Our culture is completely unhinged. The frightening thing is I can’t imagine what they’ll be pushing ten years from now.

I quit listening to NPR about two years ago, when every news hour had a story about AGW, homosexuality, or evolution. Now it’s transgender. Every so often I tune in, and I wonder how I stood it all those years.

They really push an agenda.

After all, so many people think their dogs are better friends than humans.

I can imagine, but I’d rather not go there. Unhinged is the correct word.
