Do you have any religious or pro-life bumper sticker(s) on you vehicle(s)?

“It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you might live as you wish.” Mother Teresa

I like it because people have to think about what it means.

Debbie

“If a mother can kill her own child, how can we tell others not to kill? -Mother Teresa” In case there’s a question as to what she’s refering to there is another one.

“Abortion stops my beating heart.” with a picture of a beautiful baby.

Then my brothers also stuck on a random “SkateAmerica” sticker.

My license frame holder says, “Heading in the wrong direction? God permits U-turns”

I have to be a courteous driver with this on my car, so it helps to keep me humble!

I also have a Sacred Heart Radio 1050 AM sticker on my car…almost forgot about that one…I normally do not put any stickers on my vehicles.

No but if I did I would get " Guns don’t kill people…Abortions do."

“Pray the Rosary” is on my bumper. A brave thing to do in a very anti_Catholic town. Guess I was in a “mood” 😛

I also have on my storm door window for all to see when they come calling. “Our Lady of Grace-Pray For Us” I makes me feel good knowing that our Holy Mother is watching out for us, plus a good way of keeping the JW’s away. 👍 I don’t mean for that to sound uncharitable, but the ones who come into my neighborhood are very pushy and very good at what they do, I have tried talking with them, but oh well.

None, but my favorite pro-life one is “Abortion - Something Inside Us Is Dying”.

Among others, I have that very loudly proclaims “We love our priests”

I dislike bumper stickers.

Not because of any resale value issue. I just think there is something lacking in a snappy comment, no matter how snappy the comment, that tries to define a belief deeply held. Why should I be so indiscriminate with whom I am sharing my beliefs? That old pearls before swine thing I guess. I seriously doubt the idiot with the “Go NARAL” bumper sticker is going to change their mind because of my pro-life comment…

Another odd thing is when ballot measures or candidates bumper stickers are on the car years later. Not too long ago I saw a sticker proudly announcing the driver’s intention of voting for Dukakis.

Now little things like KOC decals and the like are fine. I do have a zoo member window clingy. I let the kids put holiday window clingies on when they want.

Though on a funny note, a friend who was visiting me from Europe after a couple days asked if the “fish” symbol was to note that the driver had a poor driving record. You know to warn others to stay back. (Yes–I know they have those symbols on their cars in Europe too so I am assuming it was a joke)

No bumper stickers on my car, but one of my favorites (seen on one or two cars) says: “What is right is not always popular. What is popular is not always right.”

Concerning “snappy” sayings on bumper stickers. I believe God can and does use these short but to the point saying in reaching those that may not other wise hear of or think about how important an issue is. After all, when behind someone at a red light, don’t most of us find ourselves reading the bumper sticker on the vehicle in front of us?

Anyone who’s opinion would be swayed by a bumper sticker on the back of a car driven by a total stranger needs help.

While I suppose in theroy someone might read a snappy comment and decide to look into the issue further I doubt anyone who is old enough to sit in the front seat of a car has avoided hearing about this issues addressed by most bumper stickers.

LOL!! The other day I was thinking that although I’ve seen JW’s in my neighborhood, they haven’t come to my door. Must be my statue of the Blessed Mother in my flowerbed…😃

Now back to the subject: My front license plate:

“AS LONG AS THERE ARE FINAL EXAMS, THERE WILL BE PRAYER IN SCHOOL”

Just my :twocents: on the issue!

I’ve seen many bumper stickers that certainly do give one pause for thought. You never know what course of thought may be prompted by one, pithy comment/slogan seen for a few fleeting moments as one passes by.

My car? “Get a Life. Get a Tibetan Spaniel” on the left, and on the right (of course on the right) “Luvya, Dubya: Re-elect George Bush in '04”)

I dont use them.

I cant afford to anger whackos who would disagree with the sticker and maybe have my window(s) put out, tires flattened, paint job scratched etc…while I’m in bed or at the store. I like confrontation face to face…not sniper attacks when I discuss religion & politics…I’ll also VOTE to get my point out.

No bumper stickers. Just don’t like them, I do have KofC 4th degree decal on the rear window and an Adoration parking sticker which allows us to park in designated spots near the chapel for Euchristic adoration.

One never knows when God will open someones heart to hear His message. As a revert, I heard many of the Catholic arguments and they did not penetrate, then WHAMO … God moved … and I heard. I have been taught by the Holy Spirit by lesser things than bumperstickers. We cannot forget that it is God who provides Grace, by whatever means He so chooses. I once received wisdom on a particular issue simply by seeing a bird fly across the sky. I had seen birds fly across the sky, many times before, but that one time … was different.

Oops, I forgot. Mine says “Have you hugged your choice today?.. It’s a child not a choice.”

Around my plate I have, YOU CAN’T BE CATHOLIC AND PRO-CHOICE.

My actual plate is R Lady 33.

And I change out my Bumper stickers on magnets…a great option for somone who doesn’t want their car messed up.

My favorite one is LET THEM EAT CAKE. BIRTHDAY CAKE! STOP ABORTION. Got a lot of compliments on that one.

I saw a cute one last week, on an old beat up car. I MUST BE A VERY SECURE PERSON TO DRIVE THIS CAR.

That’s true. I’ve read quotes from women who were considering having an abortion then saw a bumper sticker and took it as a sign not to. Many women on their way to have abortions ask God to send them a sign or stop them if its not the right thing to do.

Plus, there is a reason companies spend millions and millions on advertising. It works.
