I’m not sure where to put this.
First off, I understand the history behind burying a St. Joseph statue to help sell your home and that it is the actual prayers that help.
It just doesn’t see right to bury a saint’s statue (upside down nonetheless) in the flower bed.
It seems a bit superstitious. At first I thought it was an internet gimmick but I saw a display at my local Catholic bookstore.
Can anyone give me any insight/guidance regarding this practice? Does the Church have anything to say about it?
