Amazing how republicans somehow think that Bush is a purely innocent man and act as though he can do no wrong. President Bush is a coward. Is it true though

Pope Benedict’s representative in the Holy Land said on Wednesday that the United States and Israel were helping strengthen Islamic Resistant group Hamas through policies towards the Palestinians…“Hamas is getting more powerful thanks to Bush’s intervention in the whole process,” Latin Patriarch for the Holy Land, Michel Sabbah, a Palestinian, told reporters at a briefing held ahead of Christmas celebrations.
Hamas poses a growing challenge to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s divided Fatah movement. Palestinians see Hamas as less tainted by corruption than Fatah and appreciate its charity network. Hamas has also carried out scores of suicide bombings. Sabbah said that Israel’s military actions were making it harder for Abbas to establish order.
“If the policy of Abbas is to succeed, he needs to convince Hamas to stop violence,” he said. “What makes things difficult for (Abbas) is the continuation of Israeli violence.” Sabbah reiterated criticism of the barrier Israel is building in the West Bank in the name of keeping out suicide bombers. It now separates Jerusalem from Bethlehem, the town where Christians believe Jesus was born. Palestinians call the barrier a land grab.
**“Bethlehem is a big prison which is surrounded by walls. While people enter through a beautiful gate, it is still a big prison and not a normal way of living,” Sabbah said. **“They cannot have a normal economic life, which affects the social life, and people are getting more nervous.”
Amazing how some forum members act as if it is ok to caricature Republicans with the broadest brush-strokes possible. Why don’t you simply ask if we believe Bush is purely innocent and can do no wrong?Amazing how republicans somehow think that Bush is a purely innocent man and act as though he can do no wrong. I’ve excepted that fact that some are overly passionate about the war which should have been avoided. Do you think President Bush did any wrong here? You asked me to ask you that question and that’s just what I did. Besides the U.S. overwhelmingly favors Israel. The Israelis treat the Palestinians like dogs. It’s true that there are Palestinians who have killed Israelis, but two wrongs don’t make a right.Amazing how some forum members act as if it is ok to caricature Republicans with the broadest brush-strokes possible. Actually that is not what you did. Before you said we believe Bush can do no wrong period. Something I doubt any serious mind believes although that does not seem to stop the hyperbole. Now you are asking me if he did wrong here, to which I answer who knows? Israel/Palestine is a complicated issue and instead of merely poo-pooing how Bush does it (btw, according to the article it seems that the US House is more blameworthy), offer a better alternative. This is why he is Pres. and not Kerry. People may not have been wild about Bush’s anwers, but at least the were answers. Nobody had clue one what Kerry’s solutions were beyond sell out.I’ve excepted that fact that some are overly passionate about the war which should have been avoided. As a Republican I can say without hesitation that I don’t think GWB is perfect and can do no wrong. To think so would be foolish since no man except Jesus and Mary have ever been perfect. Has he made mistakes–of course he has. But, hasn’t every president who ever occupied the White House made them? So, why should anyone be surprised when GWB makes them? And has he ever claimed to not have made mistakes? No, he has claimed just the opposite, but some people don’t want to hear it because their unreasonable hatred of him goes too deep.Amazing how republicans somehow think that Bush is a purely innocent man and act as though he can do no wrong. I would rather have a man look me in the eye and tell me what he believes than have a man look at the polls before he told me what he belived. I do not expect anyone to be perfect.I have more respect for someone who has the courage to take the heat based on their stated path forward. Those who rewrite their history based on 20/20 hindsight are the true cowards. That’s what is so nice about a democracy. I get to put in my 2 cents without fear of having my tongue cut out by a goon squad.Amazing how republicans somehow think that Bush is a purely innocent man and act as though he can do no wrong. I don’t think anyone is overly passionate about war, even those of us who do not feel it was wrong to go into Iraq. How many years should we have waited and how many sanctions should the UN (toothless tiger) have placed on Iraq before we said “enough is enough?” We may not have found WMD, despite the fact that many people and many governments thought they were there, but the fact that they were not found DOES NOT mean they were not there.I’ve excepted that fact that some are overly passionate about the war which should have been avoided. if the guy has enough audacity to go to war and send tens of thousands to their death, many of them innocent, i think he should have enough courage write merry christmas on his cards he sent out to his employees in the government. he’s a typical politician and is only marginally better then kerry. As for GWB being a coward, that is simply false.
I have read some truly inane, agenda-driven statements from many a poster before, but brother, yours takes the cake.if the guy has enough audacity to go to war and send tens of thousands to their death, many of them innocent, i think he should have enough courage write merry christmas on his cards he sent out to his employees in the government. he’s a typical politician and is only marginally better then kerry.
Support Israel, support Israel, support Israel. One thing I don’t understand is why some believe that favoritism of Israel will automatically bring peace. Overwhelming favoritism of Israel only causes more hate. Israel even has walls up and Christians can’t even get from one place to another without having to have visas. Israel at least in my opinion, is very atheistic and zionist. Islamic countries are much worse obviously. Are you saying that what Israel does to Palestinians is ok? Don’t mean to sound accusatory nor am I saying that what the Palestinians do is right. I think that putting in democracies by force will accomplish nothing. Look at what happened when we forced the Kaiser of Germany from the throne and established democracy, that allowed the socialists took power. Just my opinion. Israel is also the nation with one of the highest abortion rates in the world, much of their health care system is paid for with US aid. Also there is a huge slavery/prostitution problem over there fueled by Eastern European gansters. Senators like Delay and Santorum send Israel a blank check. I think the word that accurately describes America’s support for Israel is disproportionate. Our government really needs to put the aid where it belongs giving it to the people who are in most need of it just look at Africa.I don’t think anyone is overly passionate about war, even those of us who do not feel it was wrong to go into Iraq. The US does help Israel whenever it can. After all, it is the only democracy (socialistic as it is) in that part of the world.
If not for Bush, there would be no terrorists. If not for Reagan, there would have been no Soviet Union. Oh, wait… never mind.Amazing how republicans somehow think that Bush is a purely innocent man and act as though he can do no wrong. President Bush is a coward.
As if John Kerry would have been any better.Brad, Bush is a coward because he doesn’t lift a finger to stop abortion. Nor does he really care.
All right let’s review. First off, they said cut off national funding for abortion. But other nations made up the funding loss and have filled the breach. With the Partial-Birth Abortion Act, abortionists have found other ways of performing late-term abortions other then stabbing the baby’s skull with a scissors. No, unborn babies will be saved by it Brad. Plain and Simple. We have the Unborn Victims of Violence Act and yet, no babies will be saved by it.If not for Bush, there would be no terrorists. If not for Reagan, there would have been no Soviet Union. Oh, wait… never mind.
