Well, here is a newsflash for you. The koran is nothing but a “one man” your self made, self proclaimed prophet mohamad - made stories fooling everyone by telling them it is God’s word.
He incorporated a bunch on crazy stories in the koran about the Christians and the Jews and bammmmmm- we have the koran.
The Isa of the koran is NOT our Jesus Christ, Saviour to all mankind.
Now, repeat after me this verse below…
John 14:6 (King James Version)
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
**jakasaki, in what sense is the case of Muhammad any different to the case of Jesus?? Jesus was a single man walking about teaching and preaching. There were other people around him. There was noi angel walking with Jesus telling every one that Jesus is the son of God. Jesus himself was only sometime out of love was saying that (himslef).

Same was the case of Muhammad. he was walking and talking like Jesus. There was no visible angel walking with him. There were othe rmen, friends with Muhammad. Just like Jesus, no difference. What do you say?

jesus was getting messages from God. So was Muhammad. Only you deny that last part. Who told you that jesus was God?

You know, we believe what Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me**

That is treu. Any prophet will say that. Nobody can go to God without believing and following the messenger of God. That was Jesus. he was right. But what happened? The people of his own age and his own time, his own people rejected Jesus. He kept on telling them : “I am the way, the truth, the light and the life…” but nobody saw the light or life.

You believe it. i believe it too. But you take too much meaning out of it. Why? While you do not allow others to believe in anything, like angel descending on a man.

Well I donot know about heaven. But i wouldn’t mind to go in heaven in least place. Coz Heaven has stages by human being good deeds. I just want the least part if Allah/God give me. I will pray for me that Allah give me Janat-ul-firdou which is the highest place in heaven. I shall be thankfull to Allah/God for that least place but i pray for higher one. Ameen. No thanks for your advice i will keep reading Quran and listen Dr.Zakir Naik from www.peacetv.tv
Tom, How long do you think you can keep up with your nonsense before you are banned.

Language often makes things difficult.

First, we must realize that God is unique. I would hope we could agree on that?

But the way language works is that a word is minted to describe something and then it changes over time depending on usage and such.

God would be such a word in English. It’s origin is in pagan gods, not the one true God. Allah would be similar.

When we discuss the Trinity, it is very difficult because we take words, not unique to God, and try to describe the unique God.

God is one, there is one God. This is actually an agreement between Muslims and Christians. Anyone who says differently is guilty of misunderstanding, or they are taking some group that says they are Christian who really don’t hold to the fundamentals of the faith.

God is one. One must keep that in mind throughout the discussion of the Trinity. If, at any time, you think something said conflicts with that, well you are taking the wrong understanding.

Three persons is often misunderstood as three gods, or three beings. That is wrong. God is one. Often people take the word person to mean separate distinct beings. That’s easy to do, most of the time like with human beings, that would be correct. But that isn’t really the meaning of the word.

In order to try and explain God, a word was taken from the Roman theater. Persona. Now understanding it’s roots helps understand the concept. Note that when three persons was first used, the Roman theater was actually in existance and it’s meaning would have been evident in a way that is not true today.

The persona was the mask the actor wore. You knew which character he was playing at the moment by the mask, the persona. It was common for an actor to play more than one part at a time, even have conversations with himself. He would simply hold up one mask and say something, then another mask and respond to what he just said and go back and forth.

So that is how an actor could have multiple personas.

God has three personas, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, God is one!

The major difference and the error that has been relatively common is to fall into modalism. Thinking God is like that human actor in wearing one mask and then another but always one at a time. That is a mistaken idea. God is all three personas at the same time, God is one.

Or falling into the error the Muslims suffer from of thinking three personas equals three gods. Groups such as Mormons, who call themselves Christians do make the error of separating the Father from the Son.

Mohammed was at a disadvantage. If you had told him to read the Bible verses to gain understanding, well he couldn’t do it, Mohammed could not read. So he relied on what he heard from others. If you read the Quran carefully, it does appear that the Trinity he is complaining about is not the Christian Trinity. It appears that he was influenced by a Marian cult and likely was complaining of people who worshipped the Father, the Son and the Mother, Mary. This was common in that part of the world at that time. A grevious error, idolatry, and certainly a mistake that should be condemned. Notice he complains more than once about the Mother and her Son and the worship of them. But also notice he never complains about the Holy Spirit though the Holy Spirit is mentioned.

It is unfortunate that Mohammed could not read and study the Bible. If he could have spoken more of it instead of second hand misunderstandings that became deeply ingrained.

:tsktsk: You sir are pushing your limits on here.

There are many “kids” forums on the world wide web - Perhaps you should consider them if you wish to express your thoughts in the manner you just did to Mr Pick.

I’m certain the “kid” forums on the net would get a kick out of what you wrote, but us adults on here have a problem with such postings.

Planten:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
I don’t know where Mohammad came from (does anyone?) but Jesus is the son of God. This verse is enough for me. I find your words hurtful and offensive. We take too much meaning out of a Bible quote? How is that even possible? I believe that the quote is pretty self explanatory.

And then there is this verse that popped into my mind after I finished reading these deliberately hurtful and inflammatory statements by both Planten and Tomshaik: “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs.” Matthew 7:6.

Very unimpressive. No, YOU give us arguements. When a poster here gave you quotes from Gregory the Nazieane (sorry for bad spelling) you just dismissed it as nonsense wtihout even debating it. Now you want us to go and study the writings of one of your evangelists? How arrogant of you.
👍
