It’s something a great many of us have been slack in for a long while. Now I find myself praising God for the holy priests in my parish and pray for them often.
Our parish priest, who is one of the youngest in the diocese and has only been a priest for about 2 years almost always ends his Masses with “I hope you will all remember me in your prayers as I do all of you.” I beg God for more like him every time he celebrates Mass for us.
I think that as with many passages and verses from the Word of God we will find that they really do have many meanings and applications, as we study. That can only enrich our journeys of faith.
Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum.
